Lots of potential… but disappointing
2 / 5 Poor
I was looking forward to my one-night stay here, but I was left disappointed and definitely won’t be returning. There are a few positives. The cottage (or ‘chalet’) I was allocated was, overall, lovely - warm, cosy and quite comfortable. However, the check-in experience was awful - the owner hadn’t sent any instructions via email as promised, and I was left fumbling around in the dark looking for the right property and key safe. The lady I spoke to on the phone was pleasant enough but gave the impression that she wasn’t really happy to help me. It was only 7PM This place is in the middle of nowhere and entering and exiting the property off a very busy main road is downright dangerous. I was expecting a warm welcome, so was very disappointed with the “automatic/self check-in experience”. Secondly, the shower!!! Well, there is a sign in the bathroom saying that the water pressure is low, but the shower is practically unusable and I gave up in the end. The issue wasn’t only with the water pressure, but I couldn’t get the temperature right; it was ether boiling hot or freezing cold. By the way, it’s “Inconvenience”, not convenience. There was also an issue with the TV (the Polish satélite service did not work properly) That was a minor issueCheck out was equally impersonal; I just left the keys in the safe and went on my way. I was so looking forward to my stay, especially given the review score on Expedia, but I was hugely disappointed with this stay. Will not be back, sorry!
