Well-maintained but old — feels like we stepped into another decade. The room was small but if you’re only looking for a comfortable place to sleep, with private bathroom and quiet, you are in luck. It’s quite reasonably priced for what you get. It’s not the Hilton but you aren’t paying Hilton prices. Easily walk to Plaza Major, Prado, Palace, shopping areas, innumerable restaurants & bars, it’s very convenient. Your taxi can’t quite make it there due to the pedestrian zone, but it’s a few hundred meters only, flat and easy to find.

Our bed was a double bed and we needed a king size, the room space was kind of small, there was no ice machine. Location was fantastic only two blocks from La Gran Via and the price was good

Great location in vibrant neighbourhood, fab eateries and shopping in Chueca. Very clean&comfortable bedroom, incredibly quiet too. I’d really welcome grab handles for getting out of a slim bath after shower but otherwise everything we needed for a restful base to see Madrid from

I like this hostal very much. Host are very friendly, very helpful and kind for helping me carrying my heavy luggage to their 3rd floor room as they only have main entrance on 2nd floor. Cleaning ladies are nice too. I stayed in two different rooms during my stays, some are with old wall lights not brightness enough. But I have no complain as just have it on my last night there. Hostal location is absolutely good, with all famous shops at downstairs, restaurants and cafe are all around. Very convenient. I definitely will back again and highly recommend to other traveler or even solo female traveler like me, I feel very safe be there.

If you are more than 5’ tall you better rent a double room or something alike even if you travel alone.The bathroom is not designed for a big person like me. Hardly could brush my teeth without hitting my head on the mirror

On the 3rd floor (2nd by European count) of an apartment building on a splendid shopping promenade in the heart of Madrid. The lobby feels like grandma's house, probably bc of the older couple running the place. They were very welcoming but speak very little English.

It is okay for 1/2 day but problem is no communication,bed was terrible always make noise any movement. Need to take care of interior air like smelling some kind which I can’t explain. Is those improvement done it will be a great. Location was beautiful.

Twin room was very, very small and the only window opened to a 10 by 10 shaft between the buildings. The room was very quiet from street noise but the walls are very thin and the man in the next room spoke loudly on the phone for hours. Hotel personnel did nothing about it and so I had to go over and tell him to be quiet.

Great place to stay in the heart of the city
I had a nice full week stay in this hostel. everything was great and it was a great value for money for what I have paid. room was small but clean, bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a safe in my room. location is unbeatable and was very centeral to explore the city.

City break
City break in Madrid. This hotel was in a great location, close to loads of cafes, restaurants etc. In a pedestrianised street. Our room was at the back so very quiet. The staff spoke very little if no English but we muddled through. Very clean. There was a kettle which is unusual however no cups haha.

Ok hotel. Non English speaking management. Internal stairs but lift to get to reception. Central position. Double bed which was not that comfortable. Was clean and the ladies who run it try there best. We had room to back of hotel so quite at night.

Nice hostel, well located, walking distance to everywhere, friendly staff and clean. Nice shower but no kitchen. Vending machines though. Great air conditioning but wifi especially at night was bad. But in general, the hostel is totally recommended.

Wonderful, comfortable, central location
Taxi can't get you to the door so be prepared to walk 40 m, had to ring bell three times so be persistent, limited number of plugs so bring an extension cord, no air conditioning in early October, one flight of stairs to carry luggage beyond the reception area, good information about Madrid is available. Despite our little problems, we would stay here again.

The single room was quite small and could have been just a bit larger to be comfortable; the bathroom was full size and modern The staff was friendly, but my Spanish was not quite good enough to understand all that they were saying. I got most of it. The location was superb; about 200 meters from Gran Via metro stop and about 600 meters from the Puerta del Sol heart of downtown Madrid.
