"Clean friendly place "

"First two nights were excellent. Third night in a new room. Window would not close. Street noise kept me awake all night. Just an old terrible room. I was moved to a newer room which was good. Staff at reception and bar were excellent. Would only return to hotel if I had a room not on the high street side"

"We travelled late so arrived after dark. I hadn't read the Sat nav directions before leaving so unfortunately we got a little lost but staff at a nearby pub pointed us in the right direction. Well signposted but unlit at the driveway entrance and this would have really helped. Better signage on site would also be greatly appreciated. As I'm disabled your warning about the steep entrance steps and alternative ramp entry were greatly appreciated. We were met by the most wonderful receptionist whose friendly and helpful 'nothing too much trouble' manner set the scene for our stay. We were too late for our dinner reservation but the night staff provided some very welcome food in our room. Our garden room exceeded expectations with the biggest bed I've ever seen and a super luxurious walkin shower. Perfect as I'm recovering from a broken leg at the moment. The room decor enhanced the experience with its relaxed yet sophisticated colour scheme. The choice of furniture and soft furnishings added to this relaxed sophistication and were extremely comfortable. When ordered, room service was very prompt and when eating in the restaurant, they were very helpful providing our dessert and cheese course in room. I was unable to use your well appointed gym on this trip but if it had been available, I would have appreciated the use of a pool or jacuzzi/sauna and think that a spa would be a great location for a spa..Hope to visit you all again very soon"

"Sited in the Beacons in its own grounds, location is just idilic. Plenty of parking with easy access and a warm, friendly welcome on entering reception you do feel like you are privileged just being there. Rooms are large, well appointed and clean. Arriving just after lunch we had a very generous and delicious bar meal and drinks to tide us over to the evening meal booked. Pool and spa facilities are again spotlessly clean, with free towels and robes for residents. Evening meal options to suit all tastes were excellent, with a good selection of wines and quality beers served all surprisingly reasonably priced. Breakfast was part of the room price and again gave excellent selection self serve whilst awaiting you hot breakfast cooked to your preference. As an older building, not everything is perfect and some areas could do with update and/or TLC but this in no way affected our enjoyment and stay. Finally, thanks go to the entire staff who without exception made our stay special from start to finish."
