The rooms are a bit outdated, but they were clean and perfectly fine for what you’d expect at this level. There was a slight humid, musty smell at first, but it went away quickly once the AC was running. Overall, I’d rate it about 2.5 stars. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and pleasant — and I’d stay here again. "

"We visited Mahahual for the first time, traveling from Cancun with a stop at Xel-Ha along the way. The property manager was very accommodating and arranged a smooth late check-in for us. My daughter absolutely loved the beach right in front of the hotel, and we also booked an amazing snorkeling tour. While the hotel doesn’t have on-site parking, we found a safe spot by the basketball court just behind the property. We stayed in a double room, which was comfortable and met our needs, with cozy beds for a good night’s rest."
