Great location with many food and beverage outlets surrounding the hotel. For everything else it was a short walk or cheap grab fare. The staff are friendly and helpful and hotel is in average condition but comfortable, especially the beds. I stayed in room 115 which I don’t recommend only because the wifi was very poor, elsewhere in the hotel it worked excellently. As an English speaker to tv channels are limited. The rooftop is relaxing, great pool and awesome views... Overall I enjoyed my stay, just in a different room!

Nice hotel, very walkable to area restaurants and a night market on the street right below. There were so many light switches in the room, the first night we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the TV or turn off one of the lights. ( the maid helped us next day) We picked this location for the pool and the proximity to what looked like a down town, but after staying at hotel apex, we preferred the quality of the rooms there better. The pool was nice, but bitter cold.

Very clean and nice high technology in the room. Rooftop pool is very easy to access and beautiful view from up there. Restaurant on 6 floors is quite a bit hot to eat in but they have fan available. Big bathroom , tub and nice standing showers. Very pleased with my stayed.

I am a very positive reviewer of properties but did not have a good experience here. We had arranged for airport pickup but no one came, so we took a taxi to the hotel. Not a big deal but the first of several issues with the hotel and its service. After checking in, I asked if I could change some USD at the desk (common practice at every other hotel we stayed at in Myanmar). I was told they hadn't gone to the bank that day and could not offer that service. We were sent to find an ATM at a nearby plaza (not easy to find!). Our room was right next to the elevator on the 1st floor and there was no noise protection from the hall. We could hear everything happening in the hallway and were woken up many times through the night and early morning. The biggest issue, though, is that when we were waiting for a driver to pick us up to go to the airport (arranged by the hotel, and the driver was late), I sat in an upholstered chair in the lobby and almost immediately began getting bites on my arms. I thought it was mosquitoes and after about 15 minutes, got up and walked around the lobby until the driver arrived. It quickly became apparent that the numerous bites were not mosquito bites at all, but bed bug bites. I got 54 bites in the 15 minutes I sat in that chair. I emailed the hotel immediately upon getting home and have yet to hear back from them (two days later). I would NOT recommend staying here.

Great hotel, very nice terrace. The restaurant was good, and there is a wonderful traditional dance/music/puppet show performed by excellent artists. The room was very spacious but didn’t have any windows on the outside : we missed a bit some external natural sunlight. We staied 2 nights so we didn’t mind that much. Everyone there is very nice and helpful. Many thanks Yadanarbon we enjoyed the stay!

Hotel was only so..so. Breakfast was boring. Upon checking out I ask if I could keep a laundry bag as souvenir, they say yes but yet charged me US$3...sigh...So much hotel can improve on guest relationship.

Nice but a bit tired looking
A bit old style for us. Breakfast was nice but room a little warm. ( a few small fans rather than one large one ) windows need cleaning. Bed ok. Bathroom ok but basic. The big selling point is the pool and sun loungers.

The best location, walkable to mart, restaurants and train station. Very good room with clean and nice bed. Enjoyed my stay with family. Pool is my favorite and breakfast is also good. Totally Recommended.

So...so hotel!
I was in Mandalay for a total of 9 days -of course too many- and at this hotel for 5 days. They gave me a room with 2 twins beds. I protested and asked for a double bed which I was granted. One of the receptionist advised me that I was upgraded 2 times. I thanked her. However, the hotel in general, was a disappointment: Old, too much furniture for the size of the room, the bed was hard, the bathroom shows its use over the years. The breakfast was free but once was enough for me: I never returned for another one. The staff in general was friendly, the WIFI connection was good, the view from the 8th floor was very good, it has a swimming pool and it is 5 blocks away from the shopping center. They charge for the services (food, laundry, etc) in dollars, which it seems is standard for Myanmar. You also can pay in local currency, but it creates a problem with the fairness of the conversion of the currency. After my 5 days I moved to another hotel, from where I am writing this opinion.

Nice stay for one night
It was nice, functional, nothing super special. The price was good, the bathroom a little worn and stinky. I think I had requested a queen bed on hotels.com, but instead had 2 singles pushed together. Water from the fridge is just a little more than outside prices. Breakfast was nothing special, but reasonable. There is a lovely pool area on top of the hotel and the Chinese food street market nearby is delicious

Amazing!
We had a great time at this hotel. Any points of interest in Mandalay are far and spread apart, but the hotel made coming back always a joy! Love breakfast, pool and, more importantly, the staff!

Friendly Hotel Staff, Great Rooftop
The staff delivers great service like free early check-in (thanks to Aung Kharng Soe), making calls and reservations for you, explaining main sight seeing spots and even helped with some medicaments when I caught a cold. The hotel offers free dance and puppet shows in the evening. The restaurant and rooftop pool/bar are nicely decorated and have a great view. Rooms look a bit old but perfectly clean.

Nice hotel - but please no smoking in restaurant
Very nice hotel - clean, friendly service, spacious room, comfortable bed, adequate breakfast buffet, nice restaurant for evening meals. Two negative parts to the hotel/dining room - they allowed smoking guests to smoke cigarettes (although in one corner, the smoke still drifts and can be smelt across the dining room), and pigeons occasionally flew in through the wide open windows. The 'hot' water in our room was never really hot. After letting the taps run for a few minutes, the water was warm enough for a shower - but never really got hot. Apart from those three negatives, everything else was positive. The phone in our room didn't work - they tried hard to fix it, but it wasn't a problem to us, and in the end we asked them to just leave it. They tried hard and wanted to help, but we wanted to go to bed! Would happily stay here again, but I would hope the management could stop the policy of allowing smokers to selfishly ruin it for everyone else.

The good: - Staff were exceptional. Couldn't be more helpful. - Rooms were comfortable and clean and beds were also comfortable - location good, very convenient - breakfast delicious and varied - restaurant was great. Good food, amazing view, free cocktail, nightly traditional puppet show - Sightseeing tour. Seemed expensive by South East Asian standards ($USD30) but I shopped around and this was comparatively cheap. Covered a private car, driver/guide and around 8 different sights. The bad: - opened the curtains in my room to find scaffolding and a construction worker drilling directly outside my 5th floor window. Couldn't open curtains at all during the stay and a daytime nap would have been out of the question. Hoping this is temporary (June 2017) - Wifi was spotty and dropped out regularly. Also wifi required a voucher code to log in, and a different code for each device. Painful and not explained at check-in.

Fine for a 1-night stay
It is not a hotel that I would choose for a lengthy stay, but it is fine for 1 or 2 nights. The area (like much of the city) is not very salubrious. The road is in bad condition and there are no pavements.

Good Value Hotel
Very nice hotel with really nice and welcoming staff. They helped book a few day tours which we excellent. The room was comfy and clean. For some people the location might be a bit odd but from what we've seen with other hotels in the price range, they all had similar location. We would definitely stay there again. A note to management: the staff are very professional and seem to be very well trained. They should be sent out to the sister hotel in Bagan to assist them in improving the quality of their hospitality.

A hotel with class
The hotel staff are very attentive and reception has lots of good information about what to do in and around town. The cultural show on the rooftop during dinner is nice (if a little repetitive at times) and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Try the local BBQ restaurant downstairs on the corner, it's brand new and pretty delicious.

Oasis in the center of Mandalay
It is a clean hotel in the middle of a typical street in Mandalay. The room was good, the breakfast was enough for me, fresh croissants were appreciated. I had no problems with wifi during my stay. The hotel is centrally located. The best part was hiring a car with a through hotel driver for a day to explore Sagaing, Inwa and Amarapura. The driver (he head a hotel badge, I wish I remember his name!) was knowledgeable, the car (Toyota Crown) was well-maintained and the whole trip was perfect. Hotel also has bicycle for rent. Overall, highly recommended.

Nice hotel
Really nice hotel and good value for what you get. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was nice, like in the pictures. Good breakfast. Most food options were about 20 min walk away.

Better than 3 star.
I think better than 3 star! All staff very helpful. Most of Mandalay is dusty ( or muddy when raining). However, reception area kept clean, Breakfast at top in open was good, especially eggs which are cooked on demand. Would recommend highly.
