Kaung Myint Hotel

Kaung Myint Hotel

8/10 Good
"For a trad sort of hotel in the downtown part of Mandalay this place gets a thumbs up ... close to the train station (maybe a consideration as the bus station is a huge way outside the city) with attentive staff and a buffet breakfast in the wide windowed top floor gallery. You might not enjoy the challenge of walking everywhere as I did, but you wouldn't regret staying here. The manager is affable and speaks good English."

Hotel Duo Swan

10/10 Excellent
"Hotel Duo Swan was absolutely perfect. It’s a great location. The hotel is nice, great rooms, at a way better price than Ibis or Apex. You get to choose your complimentary breakfast every morning. But the best part is the staff. They will help you with anything you need. They helped me top up my local SIM card. They allowed me to park a bike rental in their garage. They booked taxis to/from airport. I can’t say enough good things about them. And they spoke good English (3 of the managers). I’ll be back when I’m next in Mandalay."
