"Expedia canceled the booking of my original hotel. They asked me to choose between 3 options to replace it, which I did in a timely manner. Despite my request, Expedia did not send me the booking for this new hotel on time. It was send to me after few hours I checked in another hotel that I have to look for muself. "For a trad sort of hotel in the downtown part of Mandalay this place gets a thumbs up ... close to the train station (maybe a consideration as the bus station is a huge way outside the city) with attentive staff and a buffet breakfast in the wide windowed top floor gallery. You might not enjoy the challenge of walking everywhere as I did, but you wouldn't regret staying here. The manager is affable and speaks good English."
