The experience at golden phoenix hotel started off okay, but after first night, we have asked for room service 3 different times and never gotten it that we eventually gave up on asking and just asked for bath towels alone. Even then, we had to contact reception twice before they sent someone up.
My husband also just got a tattoo and had a little bit of blood(was already wrapped and covered) but leaked through his cover wrap and got a couple small spots of ink on his pillow. We mentioned this to the house keeping when they brought us the towels and they told us, it is no problem after we explained the situation. Also, because it was such a small spot, we didn’t think much of it. By the time we were checking out, they claimed it was considered “damage” and will have to deduct from our damage deposit. I was not happy with the way they wanted to extort money immediately even though it was a minor cleaning issue. I felt like they just wanted to get money out of us, even though housekeeping has not kept up with us at all during both our night stays. There were also lots of bugs in the bathroom. We understand it does happen in places like the Philippines, but my husband and I had to remove at least 5-6 bugs per day in our bathroom, and we just felt like the cleanliness was not there. The location was good, very close to the Mall of Asia, and walking distance to many places to eat. However, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again due to the poor hospitality.
