Best Western Ipswich Hotel

8/10 Good

"Although the room was clean, and the beds comfortable, overall the room needed a complete update. Wallpaper very tired and patched, in places peeling. On two occasions we found ants in the room, once in the bed. When reported to staff exchange of room was offered. Breakfast was very good, plenty of variety both hot and cold. All staff were both helpful and friendly. Adequate parking spaces."

"This is a great hotel. The staff are some of the best hotel staff I’ve met. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was huge so big the tv remote didn’t work from the bed. We had a garden room with a balcony looking over the grounds. We stayed during one of the many heat waves this year so the view was more like Africa than Essex. On that note there was no AC in the room. They’d provided fans and an air cooler already when we arrived and the room had a ceiling fan which kept the room remarkably cool. So it wasn’t an issue but worth mentioning as I could be for some."

"No cooling anywhere, fan in room, but not suitable to overcome hot times. One of the two bed main lights not working, and battery cover missing from TV control. 2 small glasses for medication taken and tooth clean available in bathroom although reception immediately given from restaurant area. Maybe the water in the bathroom is not maintained drinkable? Fruit available for continental breakfast only provide uncut apple and not opened small oranges?? Property throughout and space outside very good."
