"Hi we stayed at Guesthouse 42 for one night as we were in Margate for a concert in Dreamland. This Guesthouse is in a brilliant location for everything in Margate. The rooftop bar gives an impressive view of the beach and harbor. The rooms are very well presented with a fridge, hair dryers, clothes steamer, tea and coffee machines, safe etc. Complimentary toiletries smell great. "Paul was a great Host. Had a good chat with him despite the fact of arriving well after 10pm. He was waiting for my arrival to talk to me and present the premises. The room was in an excellent condition, very nice and cozy. I would definitely be booking with The Beetroot once again should I be in the area."

"Our double room had the bathroom down the hall, but despite repeated attempts there was no way to shut (or lock) the door from the inside as it was catching badly on the frame. Bath mat in the bathroom wasn't clean. Mirror in the bedroom was leant up against the wall rather than attached, so had to bend over double to use.
