"The property was not the standard I expect of Expedia. The heating was on a schedule such that at night the temperature in the house was around 6 degrees giving me a backache until I asked the owner to keep the temperature at a constant 23 degrees. There no toiletries provided till I asked the owner to provide them. There was only one bowl for porridge until I asked for more of the owner. Shenandoah House

10/10 Excellent

"The owner confirmed question before we arrived and was there to show us the room, letting us know breakfast time and aquantus us with the keys. The room was clean and warm with a separate toilet and shower that worked well. The breakfast was great with a choice of cereal, lots of high quality full english breakfast items and toast with jams. Lots of drink options too with fresh orange juice. Jim the owner has made a special place to stay, even allowing guests to use the dining area outside of breakfast time with a microwave available to use. There are information leaflets for the area too, with the main town just being a short walk away. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Thanks Jim"
