Hotels in Marina District

"Paid for a room with a balcony and city view. Didn't get one. Still waiting for a receipt that was supposed to be emailed after check out. Person at check in couldn't even tell us where to get a cup of coffee. Appreciated the bartender who was able to answer questions and knew something about the hotel. Good location. That's about it."

"Hotel was just as described. Upgraded to better view which was well worth it. Parking was tough on game days but that’s too be expected. The key card never worked in parking garage which was a hassle but overall experience was wonderful. "

"The hotel itself was great. Very clean, nice location. However, the parking arrangement is horrible. There were a couple of games from Los Padres, and I couldn’t use the parking garage across the street. I went out and came back and I couldn’t use the only garage that is for hotel use across the street on 6th Ave because it was “Lot full, and only pass members”. We had to find parking and it was not close to the hotel. So don’t expect an easy parking arrangements. That is my biggest complaint and I will not be returning due to the parking arrangement or lack of. "

"Comfy hotel, room was a good size and the location was very convenient and in a walkable area with good public transport connections. Would stay again!"

"We’ll start with what we liked: the room had a bunk bed, which the kids loved, and they had their own tv. There were also AC units for both sections of the room. The staff was also super friendly and brought us a hair dryer minutes after we asked for one. Unfortunately, there was more disappointment than expected. The bunk bed had visible gum stuck on the ladder, and the bathroom was missing supplies. We switched rooms, and the second room was missing a (or any) trash can and a hair dryer. The bathtub curtain looked like it had mold in one corner. The TVs were set to such high contrast that fair skinned characters in shows were practically clear, and you can imagine what everyone else looked like. The fitness room has a treadmill, and elliptical, and a stationary bike, and three medicine balls. It looked like something you’d cobble together with finds from garage sales and OfferUp to prove you intend to work out, eventually. The water cooler in that room tasted like the freshest ocean water money could buy. At breakfast, the menu offered pancakes that were steamed? Microwaved? Who knew with those stale edges. The sausages were somehow overcooked AND undercooked at different points. The cereal choices were basically a variety of sand flavored selections. One elevator looked like a horror movie style trap, and the other had an expired permit proudly displayed. If this is all par for the course that is best western, I will pass every time. There’s more, but character limit."

"Pool and hot tub have such a beautiful view. Rooms were well stocked with towels and the staff was kind and friendly. Great location on Shelter Island!"

"My room in the Bay Tower was very nice. However, I wss told they have 24 hour golf carts to take you to the marina tower. I tried to get a ride at 510pm and was told they were on break until 540 and that I could use the walkway to get there. Which I did. Then when i tried to get a ride back at 930pm, I was told AGAIN that they were on break and it would be 30-40 minutes to get a ride back to the bay tower. As a female, traveling alone, I didn't feel comfortable making the walk alone in the dark. Therefore, had no other option but to wait. "
