"The owners were very friendly and wanted to help in any way. Breakfast was delicious and the Victorian building was beautiful. And an adorable doggy too"

"Newly renovated rooms in an old property. Some bench and green areas around the parking lot to walk the dog. They even have a couple of BBQ pits there. Room was clean, bed was great. Bathroom was spotless clean. There was a leak on the sink, and the microwave was missing the turntable dish, management should try keeping up with maintenance. The TV was great and lighting and general functionalities of the room were up to standard. The A/C although a bit loud worked perfectly. Quiet aisle near the elevator on the 4th floor. Breakfast doesn’t have a lot of hot options, just dairy, toast, waffle maker (no eggs, sausages, etc. ). Staff was diligent and courteous. Nice area around, not walkable but good access to local businesses and highway"
"Customer service are polite and stay out of your business. I can be a little loud and I have visitors a lot and I have not received any complaints or reprimands from the staff or managers or anyone. "
"Best stay in a hotel ever for myself and my fiance. Only complaint is the day shift front desk woman was not friendly, no greeting or welcome and looked like she did not want to be there, on her cellphone most of the time. Overnight gentleman was very helpful and much nicer. Overall a wonderful stay"
"I recently stayed at the historic Upjohn House Bed and Breakfast in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo, and it was a truly memorable experience. This beautifully restored mansion is decorated with charming period details that give it an elegant, old-world atmosphere while still offering modern comforts.
I stayed for two nights and loved how easy it was to walk to all the shops, restaurants, and attractions downtown. I also attended a concert at Miller Auditorium, which was conveniently located less than two miles away.
The house itself was quiet and relaxing especially since I had it all to myself during my Sunday-Monday stay. I enjoyed a fantastic room with a very firm and comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The room also had a smart TV with a Roku device, which made it easy to log into my favorite streaming apps like Netflix and YouTube.
One highlight of the stay was the clean and inviting hot tub, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. The whole place felt homey, peaceful, and well cared for. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique and comfortable stay in Kalamazoo!"
