Need to bring your own toiletries (except toilet papers) for rooms with private bathroom. Don’t know about shared ones. But for the price you are paying that’s understandable, I guess. Not gonna deduct any points for that.

The staff at the property were very helpful and accommodating. Mohammed was especially helpful and attended to all of our needs. I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is excellent ( 30 metres away from the main square of Jamaa el Fna). Many shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.

20m from square! Could not be closer. Basic but clean, friendly, nice breakfast, view of square, perfect for market shopping trips. I will definitely stay again.thankyou

The Riad is a 2 min walk to the Jemma el Fnna. Close to pretty much everything. The staff are bilingual, very helpful and friendly. The room was fairly clean and basic, towels are at reception, but it does have air conditioning. Breakfast is offered on the terrace, which consists of hard boiled eggs, cheese triangles, pan chocolate, french bread, jams, coffee and fresh orange juice. For a short stay i would recommend the Hotel Cecil although it has more of a Hostel feel

I booked one double room for two persons, when me and my friend check in, the guy from reception ask my name and i told him he got my reservation, he said but you just booked one person, then I immediately check my confirmation cus maybe I make mistakes, but so clear is written one room for two adults, the guys still insist I made reservations for one! After some minutes he said ok ok your reservation through Expedia, now I found your booking, I have some feeling of scam in this point! The room is tidy and nice, location is good, for this price is absolutely worth it, but the bathroom is so dirty cus there not even a garbage bin in toilet, so people throw rubbish everywhere, cleaning is obviously not frequent! Since the check in is not very pleasant i wouldn’t recommend this hotel, there’s too much way better choices in Marrakesh

Easily the worst place I have ever stayed. The beds were INFESTED with bed bugs, and I got bitten multiple times as I tried to sleep. I say tried - it is near impossible to sleep with the amount of noise. You will NOT sleep, with people shouting and making noise all night. No air conditioning in my room. Absolute hell hole.

Nice hotel for a stay in Marrakech.
A pleasant stay at the Hotel Cecil. Its just a few yards from the main Jemaa el-Fna square. Room was air conditioned with effective wi fi. Breakfast was served on the terrace and was very nice, with bread, pastries, orange juice and choice of tea or coffee. Everybody was very friendly. I would reccomend this hotel.

My family weren't welcoming by the two gentelmen in the Reception, Mohamed and the other staff, I don't know WHY !?! They give them a different room, no idea WHY ? The room was OK, the Breakfast was very good for the price I paid. The location was great.

Great location , close to the main square,my room was double booked on the first night, so was on ground level first night very noisy ! nice breakfast on the rooftop , or if cooler in traditional tented area also on rooftop, WiFi was excellent..

Friendly and helpful staff
Very helpful staff and good value for money. Rooms are OK for the price we paid but require a bit of attention and maintenance. Toilet was broken - Staff immediately provided alternative room for the night and fixed it in the morning but it was still not perfect.

Nice place!
Riad Cecil was a good place! I upgraded my room from shared barthroom to one with private bathroom and it was nice. Room was comfortable and the AC was good. Breakfast was “ok” good enough to start the day (crosain, bread, boiled eggs, marmalade and orange juice). The location is good is right at the main plaza so is well located. I ask one of the employees to do my laundry and they did it for a low price so it was a bonus! No complaints... i would totally stay here again.

The owner is very friendly and helpful! Recommended a very delicious local restaurant. The place is right inside the Medina, very convenient to visit attractions.

Very basic hotel in a good location
Hotel is in djma el fana, a popular tourist square but rooms are quite dingy and dark. Mr. Muhammad at the reception speaks good English and drew a map to help us with the sight seeing. Breakfast is not too great

Great Location!
Hotel Cecil is a basic hotel with all the necessary things. We stayed in a room with a double bed and a shared bathroom. That was clean. The bed was comfortable. The location is unbeatable though, a few steps to the main square. I would stay there again.

A 20 metros de la Plaza!!! El personal muy amable. Desayuno muy bueno. Es un hotel sin lujos pero con una relación calidad/precio muy buena: está al lado de la Plaza Djemaa elf'na y eso es un lujo!!!

Todo turista que llega a Marrakech desea estar a metros de jemma fna, este hotel cumple con eso, a solo pasos de la plaza, muy bien ubicada y el hotel muy bueno. El personal excelente. Lo recomiendo y gracias por recibirme.
