"Excellent customer service but the room was very dirty"

"The hot tub was filled in several years ago according to the maintenance man even tho when I asked the supervisor who checked us in said, "it's being renovated". The bathroom was clearly not attended to since the last occupancy. There was blood on 2 of the pillow cases and inside on the pillows which means they cases weren't even changed. Black on the ceiling, black mold?? Outside wall next to sliding door was covered in black from cigarettes being put out. Breakfast options included, bagel with no cream cheese only peanut butter as an option, frozen waffles and bread but, the toaster didn't work. I've only stayed in one place worse than this in 10 years! The staff was kind friendly."

"Fantastic experience for a good price. Only issue was that the chemicals in the hot tub seemed super strong and my eyes were burning and watering. "

"The facilities met my expectations, with ease of accessing to the gym and appointments in the hotel room, made my stay comfortable. I would like to point out that the staff were exemplary, from the front desk to housekeepers, in how courteous and thoughtful they towards me and other guests. I would like to extend a special acknowledgment to Shane and Cameron at the front desk, on my arrival they put me at ease which set the tenor and tone of a beautiful trip to Ann Arbor."

"The fridge I. Our room 143 was broken and makes a lot of noise. We were already arrived late so I did not complain and went to bed but it’s very disturbing and hard to sleep."

"I loved the Graduate! It was my first time in this chain. Fun interior with University of Michigan decorations and touches throughout. The staff was warm and nice and local. Great vibe in the place. The long table through the lobby is a wonderful place to drink coffee, bring a laptop or have a semi-public meeting. Great light and energy in the lobby with lots of places to sit. I enjoyed my room. The bed was terrific and water pressure in the shower was strong. I found the room too dark, TBH. Quite a bit of dark wood. It was springtime with long days but I can only imagine how dark it might be inside during the winter. I used the fitness center on the third floor and found it well stocked and at a cool enough temperature to work out; I recommend it. And l enjoyed the cafe in the lobby as well; bought morning coffee and an egg sandwich each morning. Friendly staff and tasty food. Very handy to have inside the hotel for a rainy day or quick bite to eat. Overall I highly recommend the Graduate in Ann Arbor. I’m considering booking a return visit already!"

"It was a clean room and building for the price. It does need updates - bathroom outlets were old and did not allow to plug in curling iron or blow dryer. The plugs kept falling out. TV was not sharp in color."

"The room was not habitable due to severe sanitation issues, including blood on the walls, visibly soiled bedding, and a non-functioning toilet. We arrived late and discovered the full extent after settling in. We notified the front desk and were offered another room, but given the severity of the conditions and health concerns, we did not feel safe remaining on the property. We vacated after one night and requested a refund for the unused nights, which was denied"
