"Excellent location, right in the action, a block to 5th ave and tons of restaurants and bars. Only a few rooms in the hotel have been renovated to look like the pictures, mine was not, looked like it was renovated in 1970, but it was clean, no mold, no bugs. Bed was firm but comfortable, smart tv and good A/C. Big issue for me was no mini fridge. Ivan the manager was awesome, very helpful and kind. Come to party or bring earplugs, the nightclub next door gets going around 1130pm and runs until...
"The hotel has a classic appearance, and considering how near it is to 5th Avenue it was remarkably quiet (not silent, but not loud either). Room was clean and comfortable, the staff very kind. Cool oceanic water feature in the courtyard, and a nice small pool (we didn't have time to enjoy it ourselves). Close to lots of dining options, and s half block from 5th Ave. If we were going to spend more time in Playa del Carmen, we would definitely choose this hotel. "
"This hotel is not really for tourists. If you just want a nice clean place to stay for a night or two and you have your own transportation to get to the local attractions you will be satisfied. We reserved a room with a kitchenette but it was not useful because there are no plates, utensils or pots and pans, so there is no way to cook unless you know this ahead of time. The little pool is nice with a few deck chairs around for relaxing. "
"No amenities. Poor service. Loud residents on property. Front desk did norhing to correct issue. This is not a hotel. People live there. More of an airb&b"

"This was my second time staying at this property and my favorite part is the easy access to Xcaret park only a few steps and you are there. Friendly staff and beautiful architecture of the property. "
Viva Maya by Wyndham, A Trademark All Inclusive Resort
10/10 Excellent
"The service staff (employees were great), the entertainment was excellent. Loved the food. The only thing I would say is at the time of checkout the lady at the counter was not friendly at all. She can work on her skills. It would be nice to at least say "Thank you for staying or coming to visit. Nada, I received that from the servers in the restaurant. They were great people to talk to. "

"Beautiful resort. Well laid out & very clean. Friendly & helpful staff. Amazing beach. Great food & its excellent that you can also take advantage of their sister resort, Maya, for extra dining options as well.
The rooms & belconies need more hooks to hang towels & things on. Would be nice to have beer added to the fridge daily when the room is cleaned. The cafe should open before 9am. The beach toys office (kayaks, etc.) should open earlier as well. "
Royal Hideaway Playacar All Inclusive - Adults only

"Ive been to Playa Del Carmen over ten times and have stayed at seven different resorts. We stayed a total of 13 days and truly enjoyed our stay. I wanted to give a shout out to Carlos Quintal in the Grill restaurant. Carlos Quintal truly defined what customer service is all about. He was so attentive to our needs and also a true gentleman. Carlos, along with a great resort, is the reason we plan on returning. A+"
