This was a beautiful apartment. Very spacious and modern. Clean and comforable and with everything you could ask for to enjoy your stay. Steve & Jo were wonderful hosts. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Jo and Stevan were wonderful hosts. The accommodation was cozy, so quiet and very relaxing. The outlook of the mountains is lovely. Such a lot to do and explore in the area would be back in a flash.

Lovely hosts - Jo and Steve. We stayed in the apartment, which was so clean and homely. Right at the foot of Mt Field. Lovely views. Nice pub in the same street which had lovely food. The host, Jenny, was very obliging. The caves are worth a visit. Very remote, though. The drive is down a narrow, winding road.

Best so far.
Great central location for Lake Pedder and the Styx River Tree Reserve. Steve was welcoming, the villa was immaculate, and with a filling and tasty breakfast supplied. Bonus opportunity to feed the alpacas. Best accommodation so far into our 3 week trip.

The cabin very near Mt. Field national park, My cabins view very good. can see the Alpaca in the house. In morning when Steven go to feed them, you can join him to feed. It is a vey good feeling.

Great place to stay close to fantastic nature.
The owners were great and provided a lot of useful information. Check in was quick and easy. The cabin was large and very comfortable, with everything you would need. The food provided for breakfast looked great but unfortunately I was unable to use it. There are a few restaurants right down the street. I would recommend Giants' Table. I will definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to Tasmania.

Quiet, wilderness, views, cleanliness. Only it’s far from any market and restaurants, but perfect if you buy your own food before going there and cook it yourself

Very private cost cottage, spectacular location and views of Mt Range. Close to National Park. A good range of food to cook a hearty breakfast. Lovely alpacas feeding in morning.

We LOVED our stay at Maydena Mountain Cabins! + The property manager was both friendly and helpful, while also respectful of privacy and space. + The grounds were beaauuutiful. Mountain views and a delightful garden! + The rooms were warm and cosy with excellent heating. + The kitchen facilities were modern with generous breakfast and coffee supplies + There were colouring in packs for kids and board games - Scrabble and Monopoly. + Feeding the alpacas in the morning was a perfect way to start our day :)

It’s a great place and the kids loved that the owner let them feed the alpacas - also there are board games, colouring in and breakfast there - it’s so well planned. The only thing, and minor, is it would be great to have a little fireplace outside

Cute, clean, friendly accomodations--with a view!
When we arrived, the property owners weren't there but had left the room open for us. The cabin was SO nice--everything was clean and comfortable. The owner came by later to check on us and see if there was anything else we needed. He was so friendly and kind. We really appreciated the breakfast supplies left for us--we visited in winter and the property gave a very clear "heads up" that there was not much available to eat in town. Sadly, we were running late and didn't remember to stop to get something on our way. It was a rainy night and we didn't feel like driving 30 minutes to find someplace to eat so we had a yummy breakfast for dinner with the supplies provided. Since we arrived after dark, we couldn't fully appreciate the view until morning--it was a stunning view of the beautiful nearby mountains! This was one of our favorite locations to stay at on our 3 week vacation to Australia and New Zealand.

This is a great hideaway from the buzz of the city. The cabin was clean and good amenities. The host is friendly and was happy to recommend sites to see. Was a great quiet night and in a gorgeous setting.
