"Quite an old place, which could do with a little modernising. That said, the staff were lovely and the hotel itself was very clean. Our room was huge - a king bedded one with a garden view - and very nice. Had a bit of a fight with the shower curtain but nothing major haha. Calm, peaceful place. Free onsite parking. We would stay here again."

"The Village does what it says on the tin. It’s convenient if you are working locally on this side of Liverpool: just off the M62. Clean room, comfy bed, good food in the bar. Nice, friendly staff! Gym and pool if you have time."

"Check in was quick and simple. The staff were really nice and very helpful. The room was clean and the sound proofing meant we didn't here any noise from outside. Breakfast in the morning was good provided a variety of hot and cold items."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was great, right opposite Sefton park and close to the main road and shops. The building was beautiful and steeped in history. It was tastefully decorated and tastefully lit throughout. They had a manned reception with a very helpful and polite lady on the desk. Our room was spacious and again, tastefully decorated with high quality items and a luxurious, en-suite bathroom. Despite being near a main road the room was relatively quiet and we both had a good sleep and a very relaxing stay. There was limited parking within the property grounds, but there was additional, off-road parking just outside."

"To start, I have rated comms with the host as OK because I didn't need any; check-in info came promptly as promised. The apartment was lovely; couldn't ask for better. There was a bit of noise from the pub downstairs but this didn't bother me at all. Other clientele seemd to be homeless people but again, doesn't bother me as I keep myself to myself. You would be well advised to keep a paper copy of all the door codes etc (entirely no keys), as routing through emails to find them can be a pain. The parking is a bit of a pain as you have you unlock a bollard to park, then then it again when you leave. This wasn't a problem for me in flat 1 but it may be a problem in flats 3 & 4 as their parking was frequently blocked by pub users double parking."
