"We booked this hotel for the pool and sea access and it did not disappoint in that respect. Our room was large for the two of us, and yes as other noted it is dated but clean and has charm so we actually likes the room we had on the 4th floor. We love going in to the sea vs pool but the rocks on the cave access sea only beach were really hard to walk on without water shoes. We managed and still enjoyed it. The pool are is great and loved that assess to the sea is very easy via ladder or just jumping in to the deep. We found the staff great at breakfast, dinner, front desk, parking garage. Our biggest issue was the variety of food available at the beach. It would be nice to serve some sort of a pizza vs hamburgers and sandwiches. Arancini was horrible. The prices for pool side food was also a bit too high for what you get. We had dinner at the Le Grand Blue and it was really good. We had lunch in the same restaurant during the day at it was very disappointing and way over priced. Problem is you don't have other options but to get dressed and take a taxi or shuttle in to town and that eats up a lot of your beach day.
I would suggest staying here for a couple of nights at the most but I am sure there are better spots that offer beach and food variety around."
"I found the hotel very comfortable with excellent breakfasts, and co-operative staff. I had one evening meal and that was good. The hotel is very well situated. I appreciated the air conditioning."
"Can’t fault this hotel. Very clean, staff were lovely and the pool are was wonderful. Our room wasn’t the most modern but bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. Fruit at breakfast was very fresh and tasty. Short 5/10 min stroll into Taormina town. Perfect location and the bus terminal is just out the back of the hotel which is really handy. Close to the cable car to go down to Isola Bella too. We had a wonderful day and Pizzichella beach, with cheap sunbeds!"
"Quick walk to/ from train station .. Older hotel with big renovated rooms, including the bathrooms .. courteous front desk staff and GREAT breakfast .. plentiful, with lots of variety. Perfect stay if catching / arriving on the train. Wifi available and consistent.
Only disappointment .. While Expedia listing states .. clothes washers available .. front desk pointed to outside facilities.
Certainly all the positive attributes were welcome"
