Hotels near Mid Beach

"we had an ocean view, the entire place smelt like weed and booze. there were parties all around the hotel both inside and outside as its also a party beach with public access. there was vomit in the elevator, outside on the balcony(s), vomit on the outside walkways from people vomiting off of the balconies, and vomit in the hotel hallways. i really wish i was joking, i brought my family with 4 kids here and it was a wreck. worst experience ever. "

"Property was prime location for the beach, shops, food and bars. Bed comfortable, rooms were clean and welcoming. Staff were amazing throughout our entire stay. Would recommend and definitely plan to return in the future "

The location is fantastic, parking is extremely tight, wasn’t very clean, ceiling fans are completely covered in thick dust, super low water pressure in showers, zero communication regarding where and how to check (I only knew because of reviews), and there is no elevator for those who would need it. Overall, our stay was ok. Wouldn’t stay again for the price."

"We always stay here when we travel to Tybee. We have tried the other hotel behind Tybee (Hotel Tybee) and we prefer Sandcastle Inn much more. It’s an older hotel as they all are there but it is clean and the staff is top notch. They don’t have an elevator so if you require one definitely ask for handicap accessible room. It’s about a 3 min walk to the beach and it’s very conveniently located walking distance to Tybrisa street. They have an outdoor pool that is well kept as well. "

"By far the worst hotel we have stayed at. The room was dirty, found clothes from previous guests behind tv stand. Bathroom was gross and hair all over from other guests. Wires sticking out from where the smoke detector was supposed to be. The condition of the rest of the hotel was overall scary. We left as soon as we could the next day."

"A lot of black scuff marks and dirty corners and baseboards. Did not feel clean. Fridge ice and water panel falling off. Bedspread and blanket in 1 of rooms visibly soiled. Called management for linens to be changed and only a blanket was brought in and paced on bed."
