The pictures on the Expedia website made this hotel look a great option. The experience did not live up to this. The room was really small and the shower was tricky to get in and out. We had a mould issue with the shower and air conditioning, which was unpleasant, but resolved. We found it incredibly noisy to sleep even though we were in the 3rd floor. We both were covered in bites after the second night sleep. The location is ok and the staff were friendly. We found only having one key between us and having to hand it in every time we went out strange.

I didn’t like the neighborhood, a park next to this place full of strange people. The equipment is really poor and the hotel is old. Rooms look very unpleasant, the hallway smells like old dirt carpet. The worst was the man at the front desk for checkin and checkout, very unfriendly person

We had a great time at Hotel Sempione! It was a very beautiful hotel and perfect room that includes all of the amenities that we needed. The area around the hotel was walkable to many of the great sights! At night sometimes felt a little bit uncomfortable, but that’s to be expected in a major city! The front desk staff were mostly helpful, but the parking instructions were a bit unclear.

The hotel was in a great location with good transport links. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It doesn't have it's own restaurant or bar but we didn't need that. Breakfast was adequate for the price we paid - good value overall I think.

Looks better than in pictures

Pretty basic hotel with good location. We were surprised that the room actually looked better than in the pictures. Some reviews say that the Sequoia nightclub next door would be a nuisance but we didn't hear anything from there.

A very pleasant stay

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Sempione, staff were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the breakfast with a great selection of pastries, meat and cheese, fruit and yogurt and a lovely coffee. Rooms were basic but comfortable, the bathroom was a little bit small but this was expected so no complaints. We were also able to store our luggage after checking out on our last day which was a huge help. The hotel is well located near to trams and metro stations so getting around is no problem at all. We would certainly stay again and recommend to others visiting Milan for a short city break!
