Wonderful hotel with a great restaurant
Wonderful hotel! Our rooms were in a new, adjacent block and were very comfortable and modern. The big bonus is the restaurant. We paid extra for the breakfast but it was well worth the 8 euro - nice, traditional Bavarian fayre and plenty of it! The restaurant is very quaint and still retains a lot of the old mill features. Evening meal was delicious and excellent value - a mix of Italian and Bavarian dishes

Rooms without fridge and no AC as well
Not bad experience but not perfect either I mean a hotel room without coffee machine,no fridge,no AC etc. Otherwise is clean.

Poor hospitality. Room surprisingly located offsite with no staff. Not given instructions with how to get in and ended up being given a room key that did not work. We were outside in the cold and rain for about 15 minutes. No apology was given by staff or manager who turned out to be the one to come give us a new room key. He never even told us our room had changed. He couldn't answer our question about wifi. He failed to mention kitchen hours even after we told him we were going to their restaurant. By the time we got there the kitchen had closed. Our only option off the menu was pizza. When checking out I was told had I booked by calling the hotel I could have spent less, which was like adding flame to the fire. Room seemed clean and mojitos were good. Overall very disappointed in experience.

Very nice hotel, it has a old mill look and feel but very clean and up-to-date with everything inside and in the room. The service was pretty good as well, and the restaurant was quite nice. Recommended.

Great place but while i reserved the mill portion in the pic they advertise they, they split half our party off into a hotel seversl buildings away from it. While new it was not the historic hotel i reserved.

convenient and clean Hotel..
A wonderful boutique hotel set in a very quiet environment. Room was very well appointed with views out into nearby area. Restaurant prices were reasonable and service very good. Many cafes in town so never short of food. Shops shut on Sundays and in our case they were shut on the Monday which was a public holiday. Very happy with this Hotel.

Quite peaceful stay
The hotel is renovated from an old mill, with the beautiful wood decoration, although surprisingly spotted some codweb & a big spider in the corner. The bed is comfortable, and bathroom is clean. Heads up guys: no elevator! So warm up before getting ready to life your luggage to 2F :) One downside is the scarce choice of breakfast, which is not even included in the room rate :(

A Gem of a surprise!
I booked two rooms at Hotel Kunstmuehle while on a recent trip through Germany. Not having access to well known American chain hotels and not knowing "what you get when you get there", I trusted Expedia and its reviews to choose this hotel in the small town of Mindelheim. If you are touring Schloss Neuschwanstein and plan to travel to Heidelberg (or any other place), I highly recommend staying at Hotel Kunstmuehle; we loved the atmosphere, the modern rooms and the staff. The building is an old mill; the contrast of the traditional look and the modern, updated rooms is beautiful. The little creek that used to power the mill runs right under the building, and you can see it through the glass floor in the dining room. Our waitress/hotel room supervisor, Liliana, was amazing! She was always available and happy to help. Not only did she check us in and made sure we had everything, but she also waited on us at the restaurant (exquisite Italian cuisine) with in and outside seating. Next morning, she was there again, bright and early to serve breakfast. Breakfast is free and what a variety of breads, cereals, jams, yogurt, meats and cheeses! Liliana also checked us out and we wished we could have stayed longer. The family room we stayed in was located right next to the creek as it exited the building so we were able to listen to the sound of rushing water all night long. The bathrooms were super modern with walk in shower and light, clean appliances. We loved Hotel Kunstmuehle!

Hotel Kunstmühle
The Kunstmuhle is a very comfortable hotel and ideally located for exploring the sights of Southern Bavaria. We used it as an overnight stop on our way back to UK from Austria. After a search on Google for a local restaurant, we decided to stay at the hotel as the locals were flooding in for a meal...! It was a great idea as the food and atmosphere was fabulous, that along with a very good local beer on tap ticked all the boxes. The only slight niggle would be the heat in the rooms during a warm spell, as it's a period building, there was probably an issue installing AC but it didn't spoil the stay at all.

Pleasant stay and good location.
The hotel was nice enough however a few things I wasn't happy with, there was no iron, no coffee facilities in room, very lumpy/thin pillows, window shutters rattled. Breakfast was boring so ate out in local cafes. The location of hotel was great for getting to Munich and Chitty Chitty bang bang castle.

the hotel is lovely modern and refurbished but the service was a bit disappointing.No extra pillows in the room,no extra beds or a cot for my little boy we had to share one bed and when I asked for a cot the girl in the restaurant seemed not to be bothered at all and was having her tea at the bar in front of the customers.so not great

A very nice surprise! The Frundsberg Festival.
It was a nice surprise when I drove from Munich to French,I found this BEAUTIFUL TOWN and this LOVELY hotel! The Frundsberg Festival (from 25th June to 5th July 2015) - every three years the people of Mindelheim commemorate a great family of knights from Schwaz in Tyrol... is something very important and you must NOT miss! Hotel room is perfect, Germany perfect quality, correct price, special old mill house, everything made me surprise and cheer of happiness. You MUST TRY！

Charming old Mill hotel
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's essentially an old mill building converted to house a good Italian restaurant and modern style hotel rooms, with many of the old fixtures still in place in the restaurant area. Charming. Totally recommend the food at the restaurant (quite generous portions) and decent breakfast. Take the time to visit the room above the restaurant which houses much of the old equipment and photos of the old mill, as well as take a walk around the front of the hotel where you can see how the stream once powered the mill. The hotel itself is located above the restaurant with the restaurant staff assisting with the check-in. Staff are super friendly, the manager Khurram who delightfully offered advice on menu and places to see in the area. I would recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget, its very good value.

The staff make this a great place to stay.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our first night we blew a fuse and the gentleman who came to help us noticed we arrived late with a five year old and offered to send us up some food. Of course she immediately asked for French fries and within five minutes he had someone bring us up some fries and a bottle of water. That act of kindness made our night!! Exceptional service and so considerate!! On the other hand, no air conditioning in the summer didn't make for a comfortable stay especially when opening the windows meant getting a room full of cigarette smoke from the amazing restaurant down below. Breakfast was delicious and again the staff were kind and helpful. Over all a great stay but the air conditioning was a big deal for us.

Die Unterbringung war in einem externen Hotel was nicht schlimm war. Das Zimmer war sauber und modern eingerichtet. Parkplätze waren auf dem öffentlich Parkplatz ausreichend vorhanden. Der einzigste Kritikpunkt war das Internet was nicht wirklich nutzbar war. Hier muss dringend nach gebessert werden.

Tolle Unterkunft im Nebengebäude! Mein Zimmer war groß und geräumig und sehr sauber. Das Personal war durchweg sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Mücken in Bayern können sehr fies sein- toll wären Insektennetze an den Fenstern, damit man weiter gut lüften kann.
