A few minutes shuttle bus ride to the Emerald Golf Lynks. The hotel has tropical island feel and offers dining options and convenience store. The hotel is a bit dated but still has the southern charm.
We stayed for 3 nights in February at the end of a 2 week holiday, our first in Japan. We were lucky that the weather was lovely but everything about the hotel was wonderful. It is a beautiful location, our room was large, comfortable and quiet. We hadn't realised that being off season, the pool and some of the restaurants would not be open but there was still a reasonable choice of places to eat on site and the beach is very close. We hired ebikes to explore the vicinity. The shops on site were great and the convenience store very reasonably priced.
Lars was an incredible staff member!! Extremely friendly, helpful & knowledgable!! It also helped that he was fluent in English. He could not have provided a better check in/ out experience for us.
I took off 1 star for our experience at the BBQ restaurant where the food was below sub par & the staff was pushy and unbelievably aggressive about getting me to sign paperwork WHILE I WAS GETTING MY FOOD, over a seafood allergy I mentioned that could easily have been taken care of at the table in a more professional manner. All the othee food we had around the property was amazing!! The views and their beach were absolutely lovely. Had a lot of fun paddle boarding as well!
Beautiful room, spacious and a very nice, double bathroom, from where the sunset could be seen. From the large window and its sofa, the sunset was one of the best ever seen (and we do travel a lot). Breakfast was also very good. I guess, you get what you pay. We paid much.
Our room was huge with easy access to the garden and beach area. The staff were pleasant. The restaurants we’re not easily available, requiring reservations for most, and the buffet breakfast was just average. Overall though it was a very nice place.
The resort is really nice and located on the beach. Rooms were good but none have double beds. Bathroom was also a little small for the room and the dinner buffet had really limited choice for such a high price.
Excellent hotel right next to one of the best beaches in Japan. White sand with shallow, warm water. The restaurants are all very good as well.
They do have a strict no-tattoo policy at the pool and beach though, so you'll have to cover it up if you have one.
Amazing beach, amazing view.
Very friendly staff, very good food.
Beautiful property.
It was an a amazing excellent stay.
Only small topic was the closure of the pool at 17.30.
Property is great will go back again.
But will never book through Expedia again.
Impossible to shorten the stay (I had to change my plan) once checkin
Bye expedia!
Absolutely amazing! From the staff to the hotel views and location, the Miyako Tokyu Hotel had everything we needed and more. I’ll certainly stay here again if ever visiting Miyakojima again.
Hotel Overall: had the beach front under construction and even though our room was a higher level room and very comfortable, the common areas of the hotel do show its age and need renovation.
Location: Beach front location is the main point here and a major advantage is the hotel shuttle bus kindly arranged by Mr.Takagi who had a very good English and assisted us on the arrival and room arrangements.
Rooms: we had the higher level room that were spacious for any standards with a large shower with separate bath tub. Such rooms have a beautiful beach front view and are highly recommended to enjoy the beauty of the Miyakojima ocean colors
Food: A very good Japanese standard level. The Japanese restaurant has very reasonable prices while the Buffet one was more pricey but with good selection and also quality.
Miyakojima is a quiet place and a great destination for a relaxing and quiet vacation with South Pacific amazing sea colors.
Highly recommend to get an International Drivers License ir you will not be able to rent a car.
It is very nice hotel and resorts. It’s staffs are very friendly and always smile. Its beach is very famous in Asia. Room is clean and spacious with nice toilet. There’s another benefit, a free mobile phone that can call your home country and other countries for free. Foods are very good too which can be selected in a few restaurants.

In this season off there, there are nothing to offer something to spend attractive events.
This hotel had a very nice tasty restaurant; Yaebishi, which serves the tastiest local food- from breakfast to dinner. They also have a very nice white sand beach front.

Thanks for staying with us.
We appreciate your feedback!
If you are coming to Miyakojima this is the places to stay. The beach is gorgeous white sand and amazing blue water. The hotel rooms look like they have been recently renovated and are very comfortable. Crisp clean white linens make sleeping wonderful. We ate almost all of our meals at the hotel because if you don't have a car there are no alternative places nearby. The pool and beach have lifeguards and are good for children. Breakfast buffet was included and was good with a lot of options. The only drawback was the humidity.
