“Kiotari Miraluna Beach Resort”

10/10 Excellent

"Really enjoyed my stay at Miraluna Beach Resort. I was sceptical to start because I’d read some negative reviews, however I am so glad I stayed there! Such a lovely hotel & the staff are all SO nice! I stayed as a solo traveller & was very fortunate to get a little room upgrade! I loved the fact that you got given extra water every day & the towels seemed to be changed once during the day when your room was cleaned and also some guys went round in the evening collecting and replacing dirty towels again. The food at both the buffet and the Al a carte restaurants were good! Good variety& I’m not a picky eater so there was a lot of choice to pick from! One thing that really stood out was occasionally there would be staff going round the pool side with a trolley of watermelon for people to have and one a couple of occasions some ladies went round with cups of smoothie type drinks, such a lovely touch to the holiday! Room was spacious and clean, my safe didn’t work but me wasn’t all too bothered about that. I went to the spa and had a gorgeous massage! And the gym I also visited, small with minimal equipment but it did the job! Would highly recommend this hotel! Very helpful staff too!"

"This was our fourth stay here, and it has become our go-to hotel to relax. The food continues to be of a very high standard, and we thoroughly enjoyed it throughout our stay. One small suggestion though – please don’t keep the red wine in the fridge! The addition of the new speciality restaurants is a real bonus. Both the Indian and Mexican restaurants were excellent and were definite highlights of our holiday. The water park is another fantastic addition and adds even more value, especially for families. There are a few areas where some maintenance is needed, particularly around the pool bar, but nothing major. More importantly, the rooms are starting to show their age and could do with a little TLC and closer management oversight. Our room was comfortable, although we had booked a double bed and were given two singles pushed together. It wasn’t a major issue, but when you book a particular room type, it’s nice to receive what you’ve requested. We also had to ask for shower gel and other toiletries to be replenished, which again isn’t a huge problem but is something you wouldn’t expect to have to do in a five-star hotel. We also arrived to find a damaged lampshade, which remained unreplaced throughout our stay. Overall, the theme of our feedback is simple: the hotel needs to focus on the basics. The staff are exceptional and are undoubtedly the reason we continue to return. They are the hotel’s greatest asset. We will definitely be back, but we hope management invests."

"The resort location was beautiful but you’d need a car to go anywhere and taxis are very expensive, the bus down into Lindos town is quite a walk up a hill so a taxi cost €15 euro although Lindos town beautiful. Staff I found didn’t know anything we asked about bus and was told it’s just outside gate (it isn’t) it’s on main road. The schedules for entertainment had no times so they were useless, entertainment was ok though we didn’t see any shows in the amphitheatre but once we passed as its was located at rear of everything and something was going on which made us ask at reception for time table but it had no times on anything. Good and restaurant very good, bar food was good too, cleaning of rooms etc was good, resort was very clean with some lovely views of the bay, we like the relaxing adult pools and beds very comfy on the whole it was lovely hotel"

"Location was pretty good. Bus stop right outside helpful. Food generally good but could do with being hotter. À la carte restaurant was better. Maids need to clean rooms better, floors didn’t appear to be cleaned ! Water needs to be hotter too, tried showering at different times but made no difference ! Although all inclusive, mini bar limited (no wine) and only replenished every other day. Also bizarrely you had to pay extra for a bottle of water ! All spirits/wine were just local, premium brands extra."
