"we were greeted very warmly and immediately had the feelling that nothing would be too much trouble. Not one single member of staff was unhelpful and, in fact, went out of their way to ensure we were happy. Metropole Hotel needs a bit of TLC.

"We were visiting family in Llandrindod Wells and this seemed one of the few hotels open there now. It's a massive place in need of tlc. Not sure if the owners will ever be able to get it back to its former Victorian splendour. The pool and spa area are a good extra. Not really sure it's a 4* hotel ..."
