it was our 1st time in Montreal and staying in the Chateau was really helpful because of it's location which is accessible to almost everything.Staff are polite and very accommodating.Place is clean and breakfast was great!

You can hear people walking above you. It’s a very old building and the walls are thin. You can hear people talking all around you in the morning. The room is small and suffocating. I had to open the window to breathe. There is no ventilation. They did provide a fan which helped a bit. The included breakfast was a joke. It’s just bagel and coffee. It’s fine for the price, if you are staying for one night. I would not stay here again.

The room and property were wonderful. Chose this property based on price and valet parking, however i drive a classic car and the valet refused to accept it. Had i known i would have gone with another property. Id book again, just bring a different vehicle.

We loved our stay. The location was great and an easy walk to Concordia, McGillI, Mount Royal and the metro. It should be noted that there was no free on site parking. The valet option was worth the additional cost.

My daughter and I love this place. This was our second time. The rooms are beautiful! The only issue we had with this room is the toilet was in probably the most awkward place it could have been. Obviously, it was useable but still…very awkward to use. This definitely won’t keep us from staying there again though.

Lights were flickering in chandelier. We had to pay a deposit on top of our fare all at once. When asked about giving a cash deposit they wanted double. Front staff upon checking in was very rude. Were no help in trying to resolve the problem. Food in the lobby was disgusting. Milk was sour and when spoke to Staff about it nothing was done

The building was well maintained and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The property is close to shopping and activities. Late check-in was a bit of an issue but plan ahead.

I have never stayed in a boutique hotel before and I enjoyed my stay. My room was nice an clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast room was nicely furnished.

Staff were friendly. No parking option, we got a ticket on our first day. One thing was pretty annoying that security came to our room at 11 pm on a Friday night because of the tv sound and warned us about the volume which wasn’t high at all, it was at a conversational level. It made me think that the walls must be suuuuuuper thin and we shouldn’t even talk after 11 pm on a Friday and just sleep…

Overall: This was a good hotel. Please keep in mind that although my review below has critiques, for the price, I believe it is good condition. I loved that the building stayed true to their historic roots and didn’t have an elevator, however I didn’t live that there was no one there to help with our luggage. Valet service was good, the bed was comfortable. The blackout curtains didn’t close all the way which kind of defeated the purpose. The floors were very creaky and soft in some areas. The breakfast included was decent, by the time we arrived, between 9:30 and 10:00 everything was mostly empty, so I recommend getting there early. The first breakfast had very stale bread, but the second breakfast was fine. The customer service was good, everyone was very friendly, even when they were very busy which was good. Overall, for the price of the hotel and the location I’d say that this is an excellent option if you’re looking for more of a budget hotel but still a decent location.
