"Room size was smaller than other Mercures that we stayed at. Breakfast was adequate, all premade, but the chocolate croissants and blueberry muffins were delicious! Nice bar area always open.. nice! Coffee maker in room did not work. Complimentary water would have been nice.. "

"After being in crowded tourist areas all day, it was a pleasure to return to this beautiful neighborhood where I felt surrounded by locals, not other tourists. The location was great and we had no trouble catching a train or buses to other locations. Then it was a straight shot to Heathrow at the end."

"We chose the hotel for its location just a block from an underground station and the price seemed reasonable for a London hotel. We didn't use any of the facilities as we were always out seeing sights. Even though it was quite obvious we were not the wealthiest guests or VIPs, we were treated respectfully and everyone was helpful and friendly. I felt like I mattered. I would stay here again just for that reason!"

"I find in incomprehensible that in modern Britain, that housekeeping needs to knock on the door to find out if you have vacated the room so they have to hammer on doors at 8;30 to see if you are still in the room. when she eventually found an empty room you could hear everything she was doing no consideration for residents who may may still be in bed, which is to be expected in a room where check out is not until 11:00. Spoilt the stay for me. Also the room had frosted windows, not good if you like daylight to apply make-up etc."

"This hotel gets a lot of mixed reviews, but honestly I think it was really good. I love the room concept-what a waste of space the traditional hallway is in a hotel room?? The small-ish bedroom is a real cosy boudoir and I had the best sleep-the slidy door from the bathroom to bedroom really made it quiet. Yes the corridors are dark, but it’s mean, moody and trendy. The service at front desk was exemplary but the reason for the dropped star is due to breakfast-limited selection and everything hot tasted very salty. All in all, a very good hotel, I’d stay again but have breakfast elsewhere en route."

"Excellent location & reasonable price for the area. Some great pubs within walking distance. Hotel doesn’t really have any amenities, breakfast was at another building & wasn’t great with quality of breakfast & choice poor."

"No shampoo in the room, the bathroom floor was cracked and the shower was too small, if you drop something, you won’t be able to bend to get it. Hair dryer sometimes turn on by itself and light went off 2 times."
