"It’s a lovely boutique hotel that has historic origins but has been fitted out very nicely now as a hotel. The attached Italian restaurant is excellent - we had two meals there and thoroughly enjoyed each. There is no staff to deal with - a lady came from the restaurant to let us our room key and we never saw anyone then. Lots of history in the area - 20 minutes to Shiner and the Spoetzel brewery for the tours there. 10 minutes from the Ottine Mineral Springs Spa. We’ve recommended it to friends travelling soon to the area."

"Breakfast just so so. Showers faucet were terrible get too hot or cold couldnt get warm. Carpet dirty."

"The fitness center was a room with a weight set, a broken treadmill, and an exercise bike in it. The room didn’t have an air conditioner that was running, and the room smelled very musty. "

"The laundry service was limited to 1 washer and dryer but it was Free!!!! Bring your own supplies or purchase at the laundry room."

"Very clean rooms and bathrooms, amazing shower, extremely helpful and responsive staff on any needs, my only suggestions would be update coffee to be better (look at Fairfield inn coffee and get ideas) and update the bedding style of comforter. Beds were comfortable, great Cable channel choices and great Texas Charm. Go to the Kountry Bakery- and coffee house in Shiner Texas. We also loved Mexican food on the square and see the courthouse "

"Ac didn’t work, the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while!! No tv unless you paid for Netflix. The room had NO trashcan anywhere!"

"Disgusting- didn’t even stay, bathtub filled with hair, carpet had actual blood stains- manager said that was only room, and they were all clean…."
