"Great location for access to Newark airport, Jersey shore, Hoboken and downtown Manhattan. Would highly recommend especially for a weekend stay since it appears to be primarily a 'corporate' hotel."

"The shower runs either hot or cold, no in between. The foot stool was stained beyond cleanliness. The room is out of the 60’s. Bed side lights and no usb chargers work either."

"I do not recommend this Hampton Inn. The property is not in good condition and feels very old. The first room I was assigned smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and water damage. The desk moved me to a second room, which then smelled like dirty feet and a locker room. The housekeeping came once during my time there. All they do is empty trash and place new towels in the bathroom- they don’t make the beds, which I found quite odd. On the second night of my stay, the people staying in the room next door were incredibly loud, screaming and yelling until 2am. I called the front desk two different times regarding the noise. The desk attendant asked the people to quiet down, but they never did. Finally, the fire alarm continuing went off throughout the stay. One evening it went off in the very early morning for 30+ minutes, forcing everyone to leave the building at 4am and stand outside in the cold to wait for the alarm to be fixed. "

"This was an interesting place. Low cost in an area that can be expensive. Nothing fancy, no breakfast. Towels were adequate but not luxury by any means. Working person's place. But it was clean. It felt safe with its limited access set up. Rooms circled the parking lot with a narrow entrance that passed by the office. Fridge with real freezer compartment and microwave. Good mattress and pillows. Basic needs met at a low price. "

"I was less than impressed with this stay. My friend and I had booked this hotel on Expedia because their description said it had shuttle service to the airport for free. Upon arrival to Newark international, we called to double check and the hotel said they don't offer that service at all, which made travel to the property unexpectedly expensive for us. We eventually got to the property but it was not well maintained. There were stains on the walls, caution tape by the elevator and our room was scary with how many dirty stains there were on the furniture. The bed springs squeaked with the slightest movement of the beds. The entire vent was hanging off the wall. I went down to the front desk to ensure they weren't going to charge my incidental for the appearance of the room. The staff was friendly and ensured me I wouldn't be since it seemed to be something maintenance failed to attend to. The facility claims it is nonsmoking but the hallway and room smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. As an asthmatic, that was troublesome. Overall, I will not be staying here again. Luckily, our layover was only 6 hours long so we were at the hotel for only 4 hours that night."
