"Beautiful hotel lobby and very friendly staff. Location can be a challenge to get to if the roads are snowy. 4WD / snow tire or chains a must in winter. "
"We were made to feel so welcome here and would love to stay again. The hosts were wonderful, so friendly and made this an unforgettable stay in an incredibly beautiful location. Would highly recommend!"
"The owner who was only the other person there was very kind and drove me up to the bus stop with my heavy luggage in very snowy, icy conditions, beautiful views, winter wonderland of snow and ice. incredible views."
"The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple (green salad, two egg fries, bread with butter and jam, fruits, and a pot of coffee or black tea) but delicious. "If you're looking for an onsen experience this is the place! We were welcomed as we drove up the windy mountain road to the hotel. The check in experience was calm and efficient. Dinner, breakfast and private bath times chosen. The baths are wonderfull, overlooking the river and with views down the forested valley. Dinner and breakfast were amazing, although our kids sadly didn't feel adventurous enough. It was a truly magical experience on our first trip to Japan."
