The Drei Lowen hotel staff were fantastic, helpful in every way. The breakfast every morning was great and staff handling the buffet breakfast was extremely helpful. The hotel met all my expectations. The next time I am in Munich I will definitely stay at The Drei Lowen hotel.

Relaxing and enjoyable short break in Munich.

Perfect location for the city centre, Hauptbahnhof and connection to the airport. Within walking distance of the city centre landmarks, tour buses etc. Plenty of places to eat and drink within the immediate vicinity. Hotel was nice, room allocated was comfortable and clean. No complementary bottled water provided. Bottled water was €5. The breakfast provided was good with hot and cold options provided. Staff were friendly and helpful (I needed someone to look at the TV in my room). Definitely recommend the hotel to anyone on a short visit to Munich.

This was an excellent and modern hotel in a very convenient location to both the main train station and the main pedestrian zone. There is plenty of great dining in the area (especially if you like Mediteranean) and and charming little brewery (Schloss) a couple of blocks away. The LIDL grocery is a 5 minute walk. The breakfast was excellent with fantastic coffee. This was a great option for my Munich visit. I had ZERO complaints.

Very good bed and bathroom. Very clean. Quiet with the windows closed. Air conditioning was very effective. Area around the front of the hotel at night is unfortunately prone to people yelling at you for no particular reason possibly due to substance abuse. This is not the fault of the hotel.

This hotel may have been nice at some point, but it is in disrepair and it is not even close to a 4 Star hotel (how it displays). It is not so bad either. It is a bed, and nice shower close to the station, so for the price it is ok. Note the area around the station is not dangerous but looks that way. It is also dirty, noisy, and very husy.

Easy access to metro station. Ongoing construction on the street increases the noise level. Room was generally clean and well-lit; bedsheets looked like they’d previously been stained and were clean but with a few visible spots. Friendly and courteous staff, quick check in and check out process. Great for a quick overnight or waiting a night to fly out of Munich Airport. Hotel is very close to the central station as well as Marienplatz.

Second time staying here and would return

I had stayed here before and did return, We had a one night stay and the hotel was good and the staff were excellent. It is close to the main train station and there are a few strip clubs up the street so the outside noise went through most of the night. Closing the windows worked well to keep the noise out.

This property was perfect for us staying 1 night in Munich. We flew in from the US arrived around 8am, left our bags with the friendly hotel staff, walked to a cafe and had amazing coffee and pastries, walked a bit further to the old city area which is full of shopping, food, old buildings including the old city hall on Marienplatz with the mechanical clock "glockenspiel" show twice per day, and several churches and the public market area where we tried herring salad and a lovely bottle of Stellenbosch Shiraz Rose at Nordsee Seafood (friendly staff), then we headed back to the Drei Lowen as we were told our rooms would be ready by noon, and they were! After a perfect shower and nap which was easy because the hotel is very quiet and the blackout curtains work wonders as well as the Air Conditioning, we walked to the old city area again for dinner at the classic Augustiner Stammhaus restaurant. Chef's Kiss for the delicious foods we ordered along with an Augustiner Weissbier... yum! After walking back to the hotel, we had a drink in the adorable bar and lounge area before getting a great night's sleep. As with most old cities, there is much construction happening everywhere. The street on which the Drei Lowen is located is no exception. We did not hear it and were not bother by it at all. The local streets are not the cleanest but we felt safe in the area. We were able to walk about 4 minutes from the hotel to catch a train to Regensburg which was a lovely ride.

The DL is a clean and affordable hotel located very near the central station. There is local road construction that made us have to search for access to the hotel though we knew where it was. Service was good and its location is very good. There are numerous dining opportunities in the neighbourhood that span from simple cafes to higher end dining.
