We enjoyed our stay, close in proximity to dinning locations & transportation. Only draw back is the walk up the steps, they have a small lift we used primarily for just hauling our luggage up and down. Would recommend this location for your stay in Munich.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were friendly. The front desk staff made helpful suggestions for things like restaurants and tours. The location was amazing, just a few minute walk to Marienplatz. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Worse than a dump

This is a one-star hotel at best. One of the worst places I have ever stayed at. No A/C. No in room amenities, not even an iron or coffee/tea. The water in the bathroom came out brown, so I had to let it run to get clear. The shower was either freezing or scalding. The light (fluorescent!), switched on only when it felt like it apparently. If you are longing for the days of the former East Germany, if faded grandeur, cracked plaster walls, and fluorescent lighting are your thing, then you’ll feel right at home. Otherwise, run, do not walk from this place. Hotels.com is doing its customers a disservice by listing this place as anything but a one-star hotel, if they should be listing it at all.

Not bad at all

What to say ? Easy and efficient check in/out. The room was slightly old. No fridge or safe and fairly used furniture. However beds are very comfy. Now, the breakfast was great. Nice and delicious set up and the kitchen staff is friendly, smiling and serviceminded. The location is good close to the center, however expect a little noise from the street. With a little renovation this hotel would score 5 stars I would say. Would we go again ? Indeed we would, Altmünchen gets the job done.

Great little hotel - but be vary nothing is free other then the breakfast - if you want a cup of tea or coffee - they will provide and charge you for it. I personally think it un ethical to tell a guest that they can have access to tea or coffee 24/7 but ‘forget’ to tell them there is a charge. Used to staying in large chains where I get these small thing free - lesson learned.

Zimmer war sauber und alles war vorhanden. Im Hotel war es ruhig. Frühstück hatten wir nicht gebucht. Im Treppenhaus roch es nach Zigarettenrauch. Generell ist das Hotel etwas älter, was uns nicht gestört hat. Unser Zimmer lag zur Straße und es war aufgrund des Verkehrs und der angrenzenden Bar auch nachts sehr laut!

Insgesamt wirklich gut

Die Zimmereinrichtung war schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, es gab keinen Kühlschrank und die Steckdosen waren eher spärlich sowie ungünstig verteilt. Aber mehr hatte ich nicht auszusetzen. Das Zimmer selbst war äußerst groß, die Lage des Hotels ist spitze und das Hotel backt morgens zum Frühstück sogar selbst sehr gutes Gebäck!

Positives - walkable to old town. Price. Three separate mattress/blanket accommodations. Breakfast offered for a fee. Hard wood floors with new windows and the fan made it comfortable at night. Negatve is the bathroom which is outdated and needs an uograde but still usable. Also elevator is only large enough for 2 people but stairs are easily accessible.

Great Location, but the rooms are very hot

The Hotel was good for the Price. It’s in a convenient Location between the Train Station and old City Centre. The room was really hot though. The Windows don‘t Open much and there is no AC.
