Stayed here on my first visit to Munich in early March 2023. (Us = Married Couiple Mid 50’s!) Firstly, the location is very good. It’s on a quiet street just of the a main road ‘Maximilian Strasse’ which has all the ultra high end shops. 15 mins walking takes you to the main hub of Marian Platz to the west and 10mins walk north is the English Gardens, with many other museums in closer proximity. If you aren’t a walker, access to the U train is very convenient <200m. There are also several good restraints in that district. The Hotel itself is Family owned and has approx 25 rooms and it really does maximises it’s space. Everything is done to a high standard. Breakfast is done the proper way, with crisp white tablecloth, fine china delfware and silver coffee pots. The staff are very professional and well trained with strong attention to detail. They are also very helpful and I leaned on them for information and advice on all 5 days of our stay. The only thing I would give a very very slight score down on is that noise does transmit between rooms, so if you were a light sleeper and had a noisy neighbour it could be annoying but we had no such problem. We would definitely stay here again. Thankyou Hotel Opera for a very pleasant stay.
