"予約完了後、数時間でホテル側から「設備の破損があり修理に4〜5日掛かる。キャンセルしてくれ」とのメールが来た。 この時点でキャンセル料が100%掛かる時間帯。 こちらからキャンセル手続きをすると宿泊代が戻らないかもしれないと考えてそのままにしておき東京の窓口に電話。 何度かけても時間を変えて掛けても日にちを変えて掛けても繋がらない。祝日で休みだったのかもしれないが旅先で問い合わせ窓口に電話が全然繋がらないのはとても困る。 当日、直接ホテルに出向くが看板が無く分かりにくい。 やっと見つけたら開いていない。誰もいない。 隣のアパートにオーナーか従業員が居たので事情を聞くと、彼らからキャンセル手続きはした。彼らにもサイト側からの返信が無いとのこと。 最終的に数日が経過して代金の払い戻しのメールが届いた。 窓越しに眺めた部屋はサイトの紹介通り良さそうな感じだったので泊まれなかったのは残念だ。 入口の階段に多数の野良犬の糞が落ちていたのはいただけない。 また同じ地域に行くことがあれば今度は泊まって評価を出したいと思う。"

"This is truly a little gem! A fairly newly opened hotel, a small hotel of 5 rooms with personal charm. The staff mentioned that the plan is to complete the construction and add another 5 rooms. Located above a quiet restaurant in a very quiet area just outside Hikkaduwa, right on the beach so the waves and the beach are your table neighbors at breakfast. "Beautiful upmarket stay in a gorgeous location. I will note it’s not walking distance to fort but easily reached by a 10 min Tuk Tuk. We visited in off season and had the entire place to ourself "

The beach is not suitable for swimming due to heavy surf and a strong side current but Talpe beach a 1.5k walk or tuk-tuk away has a safe beach behind a reef. "
