"The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast didn't change much each day but what was available was cooked well. The property is in need of attention as it looks tired and grubby in places. The location is reasonably good for exploring San Francisco. It was helpful being able to securely store our luggage until our flight which was long after check-out. A deposit is taken (despite no mini-bar etc.) and had to be chased to be released."

"The staff was incredibly cordial and friendly. Each staff person I came across had a positive and bubbly expression. I find happy staff usually means good service. The location was ideal as it was close to family, the buses, and Japantown. Breakfast was adequate. The waffle-maker is a popular go-to and can develop a line, so go early. While there is no meat, there are the typical Sysco products you find at hotels. Typical tea and coffee selection, including teabag chai. Although my room didn't have a microwave, there is a communal one in the lower level. The gym in the lower level has nice natural lighting in the corner of the building with windows and shutters for privacy. The floor is tiled rubber mat. The corner elliptical works. The smell in the lobby was off-putting, but it mainly stayed only in the lobby while I was there. The keycards often stopped working, but it was easy enough to go back to the front desk and have them reprogrammed. Overall rather pleasant and convenient. I would love to go back."

"Finding parking initially was difficult but eventually I snagged a spot on the street 2 blocks away. Once checking in the receptionist did give me directions to their suggested parking garage that was around the block. I just came solo for a night. The room was modern with good lighting and a nice full length mirror. The bed was very comfortable and supportive. My only complaint is the walls are thin and at times it was quite loud. All in all it was a great option in a convenient location at a great price!"

"Black mold. Like everywhere. Elevator also doesn't seem to have been inspected since 2013. Broken level 4 button. Location is phenomenal, the staff was super kind and helpful, but the room itself (which, for the price, is what it is) was stinky and exceptionally moldy. The floor had this strange waxy residue on it, almost requiring you to wear socks lest you track something into the bed. Surprisingly the bed was fine, didn't seem to have any stains or smells. Shower/sink did their jobs, water was hot, soap and shampoo was provided as were linens, which were clean(?, had little black spots on the main large towels but otherwise fine enough). Main point: if you need quick and cheap access to the Tenderloin and some fun areas of SF, it is a reasonable price. No A/C, which is fine. Windows open with no screen and let some cool air in when needed. Don't expect anything super nice. It is a place to lay your head during a quick stay."
