Our stay was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. As soon as we walked in to check in we were offered a drink and the staff seemed genuinely pleased to see us. Stopover in Nice.

Centre of Nice, short walk to the promenade, welcoming hotel with complimentary water and coffee available in reception. Would have given 5 starts but shower was very awkward to use at end of bath in tiny room. No hotel parking and car parks in centre are 30+ euros a day.
