"Staff very friendly and welcoming. Quirky bar / reception and decor throughout. Fabulous location just a few minutes walk from train station and town centre. Although my room was fine it was up 4 flights of stairs with no lift which was difficult with a dodgy knee. The staff did offer to help with my bags though. (The Hotel was full so I couldn’t change room). The breakfast was plentiful, I liked that you could help yourself to tea and coffee throughout the day and there were also tea making facilities in the room. The restaurant is lovely and a shame it wasn’t busy to add to the atmosphere. My room was spacious and I slept very well. Great shower and lovely toiletries. Extra vanity sets were available at reception. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night ( False alarm) and the staff apologised the next morning and gave me a scented candle for the inconvenience (nice touch). I will definitely stay there again but ask for a room on a lower floor!"

"Amazing location. Hotel rooms and halls a little dated. We visited in April and opened our window for cool air. Not sure what happens in summer. Bring flip flops for shower. "

"The hotel was centrally located so it was easy to get around. It was about a 12-minute walk to the central train station. There were plenty of restaurants within an easy walking distance. The hotel was exceptionally clean and very quiet."

"We enjoyed the breakfast and the family suite was convenient. Needed more outlets that were accessible to the nightstands in the 2nd bedroom. We also could not get the lamps to turn on without the main light overhead being on...it was so strange. Understanding that it is highly recommended to recycle, it would have been nice to have some kind of trash or place to put recyclables in our room. The air conditioner in the secondary room was loud and did not get cold....we were hot and couldn't get the air to go lower.... allergies prevented us from opening a window. Parking should be free. When you are paying a high rate for rooms, to add additional for parking that was right out front is a bit greedy to me."

"Hotel exterior is covered in scaffolding and sheets. No view from windows at all and anyway we had to keep curtains closed because of the workers. Some noise from the construction from 8:30am onwards. The curtains didn’t fit, so not much use if you need complete darkness to sleep well. The rooms are soundproofed, but the doors are not. When a neighbouring room door was closed the noise woke me up as I thought someone had entered my room. There was no wardrobe, just some hangers in the corner. Good points: Very nice staff, helpful and cheerful. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Great city centre location. "
