"Our stay at Guesthouse Koundo was excellent. It’s a beautiful home located, in our opinion, in the best spot in Nikko as it is easy to walk to the popular areas as well as catch the bus to go up to the mountain. There are also wonderful neighborhood restaurants to try within walking distance. It’s in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful nature. "What stand our was the spacious room with two beds and tatami. Daily kaiseki breakfast and dinner were delicious and we didnt have to eat lunch everyday. Public onsen are well maintained as well. Great location with very short walking distance to the famous bridge and shrine."
