"This is a family ran lodge with plenty of character. Rudy and Claudia are very helpful and attentive The dogs, cat, llama and little rabbit are super friendly as well. Perfect place to kick back and relax, it is a little tough to get in and out of there so plan accordingly. The place is a little rough on the edges, but that is the exact appeal. "This was incredible. If you are looking for a 5 star resort this may not be for you , but if you want a real authentic experience with an incredible view , I mean incredible. (This is saying a lot as I am from Alaska and have a high level of expectation for views ) the family that runs the base camp and restraint were so sweet this was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in my life. Can’t wait to plan my trip back here! "

"The location is perfect and we enjoyed the views and the sound of the river just out our window. Service was mediocre: We communicated in advance to have a hair dryer and water kettle for coffee, and cream/milk. None was in the room. We had to remind them and even go down to the reception desk late at night. We left early the next morning and had made arrangements in advance for breakfast to go. When we came down at the pre-planned time, nothing was ready. The receptionist went to the kitchen to make it. It took a long time and we almost left without it because we had a train to catch."
