"All 3 of the desk clerks were exceptionally friendly and accommodated all my requests. Only 2 minor complaints - room had inadequately bright lighting (bathroom over-bright), and a banana and apple at breakfast were well past prime. Exceptionally nice facility and slightly lower rate than other similar hotels in town."

"The accommodation that was given to my entire family. We had a group of six family members on the 5th floor and one on the 2nd floor. We were able to organize and plan my father's funeral arrangements based on the arrangements by the hotel front desk receptionist. Overall, the cleaning staff was able to keep fresh linen and towels readily available upon our request. This was my second visit within a couple of months, and my family was pleased with hotel. "Graves mountain lodges is cozy, down to earth and has plenty to do. An area rich in history and natural beauty with none of the commercialization of typical resorts. We loved our cabin stay at wild wind - a refurbished old school house along the river. Very peaceful and had everything you could need. Great location close to Shenandoah and Rapidan River. There are plenty of activities and we loved the farm animals and the ability to hike around the grounds. The only critique would be that the bathroom heater didnt work so it was quite cold in that room. Food is a bit pricey for what you get but we liked the dedication to sourcing locally. We would definitely reccomend and would go back! "
