It was a lovely location with staff that were mostly wonderful - rooms somewhat dated and not as clean as expected - I understand a renovation is planned

Very average
Hotel was not up to disneys customers service standards. We paid for "ritz carlton" service but recieved service more comparable to holiday inn express. We will not stay on Disney properties again
I cannot say enough excellent things about this resort. We have stayed at many Disney resorts, but this one blew us away! We ended up spending almost 2 full days just enjoying what the resort has to offer from the amazing pools and water slides to the fantastic dining choices. Many of the activities that we took part in were even free such as cookie decorating and cultural experiences. Our studio villa room was very spacious and we absolutely loved the balcony overlooking the savanna where we could view many animals such as giraffes and zebras. The cast members were so kind and attentive, like we have come to expect at Disney, but there were a few that just went above and beyond to make our stay magical. We will definitely be staying here again during future trips to Disney World.
It was a very good stay generally. The animals being visible from the bedroom window was a real highlight for my daughter who loves giraffes. Everything regarding the theme parks is run as you would expect from Disney.
The only two gripes would be that it was very random when the room was cleaned. This is not ideal when you have young children who need to sleep in the afternoon.
The other thing would be the on site dining. It is incredibly average and expensive for what it is. You are much better off going a short distance down the road to places like Outback and Texas Roadhouse It is half the price and better food.
Hotel is superb! The only thing I would recommend is having nightstands on both sides of the bed. We had a deluxe studio villa with a queen bed and view of savanna.
Would not stay here again. Resort is dated. Rooms and entire resort for that matter are dimly lit. My wife was consumed by bed bugs our entire stay. Service was ok but definitely not over the top.
Clean hotel. Staff not that friendly. Check in took longer than other hotels. Constant issues with magic band access to room. Needed to switch three sets over three nights in my room, once at midnight as my kids laid down in the hallway since we couldn't get into the room and it took nearly 30 minutes to solve the issue . Artificial apologies with no true explanation except that our name spelling wrong. We had a group of 16 in 5 rooms, 3 of the rooms had room access issues due to magic band. Pool is being renovated, second pool you need to take a shuttle bus to get to. We took a 1 year break from Disney and stayed in Universal resorts instead, universal totally outclasses Disney in my experience.
Something on our bucket list so we made the 2 night stay to overlook the animals. While it was cool, after about ten minutes, it lost our interest. We paid extra to be in a one bedroom so lots of room and large balcony, and it had both, but a lot of money spent for extra room we didnt use or need. A little dated too, especially the bathroom for that kind of money. Pool super crowded and on the small side. On the positives, the bus to the parks worked great, the BOMA buffet was terrific, loved the carrot ginger soup. The market had plenty of fresh and surprisingly priced appropriate food; we picked up bagels and cream cheese that fed us for both mornings. And the interior atmosphere of the lodge was beautiful. But 2 nights max here, you would be bored more than that, and go for the least expensive room possible. The view from the room isn't even necessary because viewing areas on every floor. But it was cool to look out at midnight and see Zebras walking by...not a site we will soon forget...so worth the visit, once.
Our stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom lodge was fabulous the facilities were beautiful and the animals were awesome. We saw many of them including the adult and baby giraffes, African cranes, zebras.....from our balcony!
We have a view of the Sunset savannah. It was lovely getting up and sitting on the balcony watching the animals. The room was excellent. Boma is my favorite Disney restaurant! Delicious food. Make time to enjoy the whole resort. Lots of different view of animals.
