"Clean room comfy beds excellent breakfast "

"After booking on Hotels.com website I received an email stating that the pool and spa facilities would not be included in the price. As this was not advertised anywhere on Hotels.com website the advisor had no option but to give me complimentary passes. I’m glad because there is no way I would have paid for the facilities, the pool was tiny, there were only 2 showers and it was not relaxing at all. As a disabled driver parking was confusing, no signage but at least it was free. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. However, the bartender on the morning that I left could not understand that a Latte should not look or taste the way it did and proceeded to take £4 off me. The room was nice but not as clean as I expected. There was dust on top of the mirror and headboard in the main room. The chair by the TV had holes in it and the side table wobbled. In the bathroom there was a hair bobble left in the shower tray, there was pubic hairs on the bathroom floor and when you flushed the loo, big black bits from the rim came loose and settled at the bottom of the loo (from not being cleaned). The bed was really comfy though and it was nice to have a good size TV to watch. "

"I recently stayed at the Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel & Spa for one night (11–12 April) and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely presented, making for a relaxing stay. One small downside was the bathroom — the sink doesn’t have a mixer tap, so the water runs very hot, which was a bit inconvenient. Although I didn’t have breakfast during my stay, the highlight for me was definitely the spa. The facilities were excellent, and I easily could have spent much longer there unwinding. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely visit again."

"Great location and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room itself was ok, a bit tired and in need of a refresh, it was clean and the bed comfy. I’d say breakfast wasn’t cooked to order purely by the speed it appeared, it was standard English breakfast, though felt one rasher of bacon and one sausage was a bit of a poor show, when you generally get two of each of those items elsewhere. It was however decent quality. The selection of cereals and pastries was good, the Greek yoghurt creamy, the croissants were a tad small. Overall cost, location, amenities and staff mean I’d stay again"
