"The staff was extremely helpful and the room was very clean. The renovations didn't interfere with our visit and the restaurant did the best they could with the situation. The breakfast buffet could have been discontinued due to situation other than that our overall our stay was excellent."

"Excellent stay at The Metcalfe. Centrally located on Metcalfe Street. The Parliament buildings can be seen at the top of the street. Room was clean with comfortable beds. TV, coffee maker, fridge, ironing board and iron, hair dryer and even an umbrella provided in the spacious closet. Really appreciated all the lighting around the beds and charging outlets. Big shower and modern bathroom with lovely soaps, lots of plush towels and shampoo/conditioner. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Valet parking onsite for an extra fee which is to be expected for a hotel in downtown Ottawa. Downsides? The toilet was quite low to the ground and the bathroom door was a little hard to open and close without making a bit of a racket. Neither of these things was enough of an issue to deter from this 5 star rating. Would undoubtedly stay here again."

"The only thing that was not great was that there was no valet parking available during our stay. We had to park about a 1/4 mile away and walk back to the hotel. Otherwise, everything was great!"

"Definitely needs a reno, but can't really complain. Good amenities, but the breakfast was just OK ... PC & printer (sitting randomly on the floor?) in the room were odd, but good."

"This was one of the best hotels we've stayed at and we travelled extensively the past two summers! It was perfectly situated for moving our son to university and shuttling things back and forth after shopping trips. The hotel has three parking areas so you're sure to find a spot, whether underground or outside. The breakfast was decent but not great; the worst part is there aren't enough seats so you'll likely have to take the food back to your room to eat."

"Très grande chambre, propre avec tout ce dont on a besoin. Très bien situé, près de tout. On a adoré et c'est maintenant notre hôtel préféré à Ottawa! Nous y retournerons certainement!"
