"Nice stay at the Sunset Inn. Very clean. Friendly staff. Room was nicely updated and maintained. The common areas are super clean and very maintained. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the free breakfast, would have liked to see better fruit selection like cut melon and a pastry or coffee cake instead of donuts. Overall, great place and we will definitely be back!! "

"Located just across from Asilomar entrance, less than 5 minutes walk to conference center and dining hall (can buy meal tickets for attending conferences), closer than many rooms on site, but much more private and quiet. The buildings look worn/old, but the rooms were large, clean, and comfortable with a gas fireplace, sitting area, bathroom with large jacuzzi tub/shower, tv, microwave and fridge, wet bar, and better than expected local drip coffee. The rooms were very quiet and it was easy to walk to and from Asilomar for a conference. The walkways were well lit coming back at night, with a bus stop directly in front, 4 way intersection for crossing the road, and very few cars, so it was extremely convenient. The maid was very nice."
