We had a lovely stay for 4 nights and the cooked breakfast is well worth having and would book again. The carvery on a Sunday and Wednesday is delicious and plentiful.
Comfortable, clean accommodation for a
B & B.
Breakfast ok but waited a long time on the 2nd day to be served.
Staff were friendly and we would recommend for an overnight stay.
We have visited the Farmers Arms for drinks over the past 3 years whilst owning a caravan in the site next door. Always had a great pint so when we needed an overnight stay, whilst selling our van, we didn’t hesitate in booking a room - if they take that much pride in keeping their lines that clean then the rooms are going to be tip top. We wasn’t disappointed; lovely comfortable room with excellent hostess tray supplies, biscuits, tea and even Costs Coffee pods for the coffee machine. Extremely clean and nice to have piping hot water in the bathroom. Breakfast is served until 9.30 and was again superb. A full English beat us but that is probably because we were still full up from our evening meal the night before, you really cannot fault the size of meals that are served up. A really nice stay and we wouldn’t hesitate in booking again. The staff were really welcoming and extremely helpful.
We have a problem, checking in didn’t seem to be any record of us which was a shame.
The room was very comfortable little crowded
Quite noisy at night time in your room as the rooms are above the pub.
No Wi-Fi, which meant that you couldn’t watch television as you needed one for the TV
Jacquie was so welcoming and friendly, as were all the staff. Beautiful room — loved the cushions a real homely touch. Clean comfortable and a good nights sleep. We enjoyed our evening meal as well as the very substantial breakfast — best veggie sausages I’ve had yet ! Thank you we will return
From the front it looks like a typical Cornish old fashioned pub, once you go inside to wood beams etc, you realise , yes it is, but it’s also a tarsus, the place is a huge restaurant. Good pub style food, served efficiently by good happy smiley friendly staff. The place is really good, we would stay again
Room was excellent and the breakfast too. Only criticism was a winter quilt on the bed in summer which we had to remove as it was too hot. Food was very good.
We decided to stay here because we visited Padstow during the day. We had heard a lot about the place and wanted to spend some time looking around the town. We also chose to eat in Rick Stein’s “Cornish Arms “ which is a short walk away from the Farmers Arms.
The Farmers Arms was a very convenient place to stay. Ample parking space.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom had a lovely shower. We were given a lot of lovely towels to use.
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were very welcome and the addition of cookies was a pleasant addition.
We did not choose to eat here but I’m sure the meals would be very good.
Dogs are welcome in the pub and our little Yorkshire terrier was welcome to stay in the room.
I would highly recommend this pub as a place to stay.
Dan and the staff were great. Couldn't do enough to make us feel at home and to accommodate our needs. Dan made a special effort to get us an early breakfast. This was all really appreciated.
We had a fantastic three night stay at the Farmers Arms. Dan and the team looked after us, nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant and the food was gorgeous. Just a shame that Dan and his partner will be leaving, the new owners have big shoes to fill. Enjoy your retirement’
From the minute we arrived to check in out there was a warm friendly atmosphere from all staff and clientele.
The room was of a good size and very clean.
Would definitely stay again.
Great host .. made my wife and i feel relaxed and welcome.. guy who showed us to our room Kevin let us know about the areas best beaches, restaurants pubs etc. He also gave us a little history lesson of the area . A very interesting enthusiastic chap who was likeable immediately. Dan the owner was very ammiable fellow too who was also enthusiastic and had great passion in wanting to please us without beling over the top. Only stayed two nights . Ate both evenings and food was i will honestly say amazing with well kept ales and ciders. Will definitely go back and pass on this place to friends . Loved our stay here
Place nice. Food good. Location ideal for padstow and surrounding area.
The main thing though the milk sachets were THREE MONTHS out of date. Made me vomit the next day.
A good lively pub with great food. Ideally located for the north coast and close to Padstow. Our room was above the bar so there was some noise but not a problem.
The location is great for getting around the local surfing beaches and there are some excellent beaches!
The staff are very friendly they couldn't do enough for us when we stayed! Food good pub grub and great matching ales! I would definitely go back with my wife!

Nice Pub, great staff
Nice I was going to say 'little pub' , but it really is quite large with extensive parking and lovely outside areas. Dan was more than helpful and chatty and all the staff were friendly and willing to help with their local knowledge.
We ate the carvery on our arrival which was one of the better ones we have had and reasonably priced. The pub is very busy on Sundays not only at lunchtime but dinner even more so and this as expected, led to plenty of noise from the bar in the rooms past midnight.
The room was OK, looking over the back of the pub so no view of anything again not unexpected, small but adequate unfortunately there was a musty odour to the room and indeed the bed which made us a little uncomfortable.
Breakfast was good and freshly cooked however, the restaurant tables still showed signs of the previous nights beer stains, a little unfortunate.
In a great position to explore the local area, all in all a good stay but the rooms with a little more effort could be nicer.
