"Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Good amenities. Wall bed in the living room was very comfortable. We did not like 1) 5 pm check in, 2) no housekeeping though we stayed three nights, 3) having to pay to charge our ev. We had dinner in the restaurant and on the feature board was a ham and pineapple pizza which I had for dinner. Pizza advertised as $18 - when we got the bill they had charged for a margherita pizza and then added $2 pineapple and $4 ham for a sprinkle of ingredients on a pizza the size of a tortilla. We just felt like we were getting nickel and dimed over the weekend and it diminished our stay. Next year we will go back to the beach club. The prices are high and we paid resort fees but there is no value in return."

"The room was very clean, quiet, Bed was super comfortable friendly staff, gluten free options for breakfast! pool and hot tub were great, Pool water was on the colder side, other than that great stay! would recommend to families and anyone wanting a comfortable quiet place to rest!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was really close to Halloween so I enjoyed that they were able to have some form of fun while still maintaining the building and doing their jobs. Room was clean. They replaced the bedding and towels everyday. The garbages were removed as well. They respected your privacy and items. (I had left my suitcase on the bed the first day, so they didnt change the bedding. Completely my fault.) The furniture is updated. I am super nervous about glass tops though. Continental breakfast was good. I had yogurt, fruit and a boiled egg. They had teas, and coffee available. Muffins as well. (Decent size, too much for me) There was also fruit, coffee and (I believe tea) available in the lobby. They offer to fill a thermos with coffee but to not take all the coffee from the available container in the lobby. If you live in a city or are comforted by the sound of vehicles its a good place. Not horribly loud for the location. Really cool to hear the train going through the downtown core. It is roughly a 10 minute walk from downtown. Thrifty's, Dollarama, the Library, coffee shops, a used book store (which has some amazing lightly used books), the Gabriola Island ferry, the history in Nanaimo, the old courter. Busses too. (There's a perfect bus that goes from downtown to the woodgrove mall that goes so many times during the day) I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again."

"Older hotel, nice property. On clifftop overlooking Parksville Bay. Interior very neat. Cafe and separate restaurant. Comfortable and pleasant room. Cable TV runs Crave and HBO2. Well trained staff. Superior establishment, older clientele. On the walls, local artwork for sale. Large well equipped gym. The recumbent bikes do need to be replaced. 2 squash courts. Outdoor pool closed. Indoor pool open. Restaurant's Seniors Breakfast filling, but has low salt. Big open air carpark, 2 recharging stations."
