Pattaya is a lively coastal city with entertainment districts full of bars and restaurants. It is known for its nightclubs and beer bars with go-go dancers, though it also has a family-friendly side and opportunities for cultural outings. Get a sense of the range of cultures and ethnicities in this fast-paced municipality.

Among the fascinating cultural icons is The Sanctuary of Truth in the northern outskirts. Marvel at the large, wooden structure of the temple and inspect the many wooden sculptures. Go to Pattaya Beach to sunbathe and enjoy the views of the Gulf of Thailand. Stroll between the palm trees of the coastal boulevard of Pattaya Beach Road and dine at one of the many restaurants facing the water. Expect a tropical climate with the dry season from December to February and wet weather from May to November. for the city’s famed nightlife and red-light district. Dine at a seafood restaurant and enjoy live music at the bars and nightclubs. Walk up and down this street, which is pedestrianized at night, to experience the delights and eccentricities of Pattaya.

Find Pattaya on the eastern side of the Gulf of Thailand in the southern part of the country’s northern half. Fly to Pattaya International Airport and take a taxi or bus north for 25 miles (40 kilometres) to get here. Bangkok is 68 miles (110 kilometres) further north.

Pattaya is a cosmopolitan giant that showcases its cultural gems by day and its nightlife entertainment after dusk.

Always have a relaxing time in Pattaya and Jomtien. Plenty to do and great food. The Sky Gallery restaurant is my favourite place to eat. We go at sunset and it is a magical setting, my wife and I enjoy it immensley.
