Westmorland Hotel Tebay

3.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (790)
"Wonderful views and the feeling of being in The Lakes. Good spaces for walking the
dog
. Rooms are spacious and
dog
friendly with the inevitable trace of
dog
hairs on the divan bed. I stayed at this place on my way to Buttermere. It allowed an early start on quiet roads and was cheaper than staying in any of the towns en route. I did not eat in the hotel but the nearby services have hot breakfast rolls and good coffe. "

George and Dragon Clifton

3.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (27)
"Beautiful place to stay and food was amazing. Its only downside is lack of sockets that I could find in the room to be able to use my hairdryer near the mirror. It wouldn’t stop me staying again. Also they are refurbishing rooms downstairs which would be ideal if they are
dog
friendly or me"

Agricultural Inn

3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (37)
"Agriculture Inn is a gem! The owners are on site and give personalized attention with a smile! The room was so clean, the food and ale was so delicious, and the castle ruins are across the street. They have a nice beer garden that is well attended by locals and feels very relaxed and comfortable. Not crazy or noisy, just a nice local feel. The bathroom was very small but not an issue for us. I would definitely go back! The history of the building is also very interesting."

Shap Wells Hotel

3.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (486)
"Really lovely place to stay, comfortable and quiet and lovely breakfast. Was great to be able to take my
dog
with us, the only negative would be that for breakfast we were separated due to having the
dog
but still had to walk backwards and forwards to the buffet area carrying our food through Reception which was awkward, a smaller buffet could perhaps be provided in
dog
area?"
