Very friendly staff, and nice rooms. Great location by the beach. Restaurant was under renovation when we visited, but the breakfast offered at nearby Thompson main house was really good. Hotel next door was very noisy, with music from early day to late in the night.

Loved staying in downtown Playa del Carmen on the beach. Close to everything. the place is amazing and the location couldn.t be better. Would defiantly book here again and recommend to all my friends.

Nice small hotel on the water. Rooms are large, modern, and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient. Pool area is very small and there is no beach to speak of, but you can use the other Thompson Hotel's pool which is larger a lot nicer.

This hotel is in a great location. We have stayed here multiple times. We got a large suite for the new year and were treated like juveniles. I get that people abuse rooms but as repeat guests and loyalty rewards members you'd have thought Hyatt would have done some homework as to who was staying there.

We have stayed here before and love the hotel, staff, location and view but since the last time here there seems to be a competition to see who can be louder with the DJ music. We stay here to listen to the waves not the loud music.

The hotel is very beautiful and clean. It’s central located within walking distance to plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and the beach is directly behind the hotel. Views from the suite room was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. When I check in I was upgrade to the suite. Pool bar and area is beautiful & the bartender was very nice. There’s a DJ in the afternoon at the pool area. Good from the hotel restaurant was delicious. Definitely still here when I visit again.
