"Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. We stayed 6 nights in total and absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and the pool was so wonderful to swim in. We could borrow kayaks from the resort and kayak on the river too. So much fun and so relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful stay :-)"

"I liked how peaceful and quiet it was. I could hear the ocean and the breeze was lovely. It was a little older but seemed updated and so was more roomie than the cookie cutter hotel rooms. There was a kitchen and couch and table and it was well furnished. Nice people too. You could walk to a few different restaurants. Including a wood fired pizza place on the oceans edge. Wonderful vibe"
"Absolutely stunning jungle/ river property, lush and green. The large house is very spacious. It was comfortable in the July weather. Plenty of room and beds for our family of 6. Property is off grid so some issues with hot water that were rectified. We’re told we would have daily house keeping, which didn’t happen once, but we were ok with the washing machine. If we had asked, I’m sure it would have been provided. Accessing the tours and using the river was a highlight for our family.

With excellent snorkeling directly in front of the resort, as well as kayaks and a SUP for guests to use, there are many things to do. We loved the attentiveness of the staff and the excellent meals. The 4-course dinner every evening was so delicious and such a treat! We felt very well taken care of and would love to stay here again."

Port Vila is about as laid back as you can get. Fantastic location, great weather, friendly people, awesome food (especially loved the coconut crab). Locals understand English, some French and Bislama.

Unfortunately the earthquake has made a mess of town I feel for the locals all out of work. Still some great restaurants and bars around along with the snorkelling, waterfalls etc.

It's just a country town with limited facilities. Some hidden gems for dining though.
"Everything worked like clockwork. We left some of our luggage 1 week ahead of our stay as we were flying to other islands and there were restrictions on the amount of luggage. The Melanesian hotel allowed us to store our luggage until our arrival! That’s great customer service. The room was clean, large, and comfortable!"
